93150 clasp markings

I have a 93150 and by all accounts the bracelet and clasp look good. However, the inside of the clasp is stamped with “PATENTED & REGISTERED” which makes me nervous. I personally have never seen this stamping before nor was I able to find this reference online. The common “REGISTERED” is all that I come up with.

My feeling is that this bracelet or at least the clasp is questionable. Has anyone seen this before?

No, never. The word PATENTED should not be there. Looks fishy to me.

I will try to post a few pictures tonight. Based on some of the other members on VRF it looks like "PATENTED & REGISTERED" was phased out by Rolex sometime in the late 70's early 80's. However, they did issue such stamping.
