Just been to local AD...
They had the new YM II in Platinum in the window. IMHO - absolute stunner Looked huge, and heavy, just the £17000 ($33000) price tag that puts me off
Also, a ND sub, SD, T/T Bluesy, T/T Slate dial Serti, 18K Y/G Bluesy, T/T GMT IIc, WG Daytona, T/T Daytona etc etc and a shed load of DJ's on show Great viewing. he has an LV arriving Friday which is also bloody tempting Wormed my way on the Milgauss list (green sapphire), and will await the call on that, tho will be a good way off I'm told.. In 3 AD's today I didn't see one GMT II 16710, they seem to be drying up now, which is great for those of us fortunate enough to have one

Dan! You should have posted PICS!
Anyway, always read to hear a report from an AD visit.

Well here accross the pond prices are tough to negotiate, here in Boston the 4 AD's that i know of aren't really budging off of MSRP. I had one offer me 12% off on a TT Sub, but wouldn't go that far on a SS SD or a YM. Could be the time of year? could aslo be a supply and demand thing? I mean a TT sub is probably their biggest mover? no? Maybe not but why cut the price on an item you can hold for a day or two and get full price for?

I think the Subs are also among the easiest to restock and the TTs have more profit (thus more room to discount) than the SS models. |

The Pepsi and black/red are such classic Rolex watches that I'm sure that new collectors will still be trying to get one for any serious Rolex collection that they want to put together. Just see how well it sits in that big collection that DannyTam posted a few weeks ago......classic,classic watch. (The new one's not bad either). |

Hi Steve - guess I presumed due to the previous YM including Platinum in it's bezel...
Thanks for the correction

Is the regular YM also going to be available in ALL platinum? This would be truly remarkable. One could construct the YM 2 out of Golconda diamonds and it would still be,well, wrong.

YM II is not a bad watch, but man, that MSRP is a shocker!
