New SS BLRO only on a Jub.....WHY??

So I have heard/read several places that the new Stainless BLRO cannot be on a Jubilee, but I have not heard anyone explain how Rolex has made it impossible to change bracelets on your own once you get home.

Anyone know the answer to how they have pulled this off or have I misunderstood and the point is that it can only be ORDERED on a Jub?

Probably the end links fitting differently.

I tried helping a buddy of mine swap his YM bracelet to his new BLNR (he wanted to keep the BLNR bracelet new) but it wouldn't fit at all.

Only on Jubilee and different fittings to oyster. You can not fit the oyster bracelet in the new SS GMT.

All they have to do is drill the spring bar holes in a different location so stuff doesnt line up. Or make the new bracelet 1mm wider or change the heights of the bracelet to the case etc. Many ways to do it if you want and they play that game well.

IMO Rolex is missing the boat. If the Swiss watch industry is down I would be making accessories to fit all my watches. Imagine being able to swap between 3-4 different bracelets? Or a half dozen bezel color choices? They could sell a awful lot of very expensive overpriced accessories to go with everyone's watches.

I will not buy another of the same watch ever. I know some guys do but this isnt practical for most. I would however buy parts to change it up and probably a lot of parts at that.

I never liked the gmt master 2 on the oyster bracelet with polished center links.

I also like the BLNR on super jubilee - which is a sexier looking watch and also matches everything better.

Sorry, I once had a gmt master 2 pepsi, I thought i'd like it more than I would - turned out I did not.
