Two years for the 126710BLRO

I bought a new BLNR from a very small AD (they may sell a few watches a month) in September 2016 and called about the new 126710BLRO. They told me I was the first to inquire so I'm #1 on the list. However, I was told they probably wouldn't see one in their store for 2-3 years. At least they didn't ask for a deposit

My AD sales rep put me on the list but said I have tens of people before me which would translate in 2 years wait at least. And that was only 50min after Rolex's announcement. I couldn't get through to him before, he was swamped with calls about the Pepsi. Madness.

Last year I was first in the list for the SD43. The Pepsi is going to sell like hot cakes. The sales rep was puzzled, he couldn't understand the enthusiasm for this piece on a jubilee bracelet when in the past "nobody wanted it on jubilee" according to him.

I agree, up until recent times (yesterday LOL), 4 and 5 digit GMT on jubilee were substantially less desirable than on oyster... Oh well, times are changing, I suppose..

Great marketing move - create something that people ask for, but limit availability to make it exclusive :-)

Fortunately, there are other ways to tell time...

There’s probably some wealthy billionaire who would buy an organ on the black market then in turn you could pay a grey market dealer. . But yes, if worst comes to worst, there are other ways to tell what time it is.

I just don’t get it. Jubilee is def less popular than oyster. If they made ss Pepsi with oyster I might consider it. Rather have my Blnr oyster.
