Rolex Oyster Perpetual gold

hello to everyone
I'm new here and, immediately, I have a question to you all. I am sure, that you know more than I.

I've got a Rolex Oyster Perpetual, as you can see in attach. So I've tried to get some information about it on internet, but it seems that it is a modell not so usual. In any case it must be a model from the '70 I think.

So I'm asking for help to classify the watch, and, maybe to get some information and maybe so price info.

Thank you all for your help

klaus from south tyrol italy

Welcome Klaus. You got a 1500-series Date Oyster-perpetual there. The serial# is between the lugs at 6'oclock and the model# in the opposite lugs. Let us know and we will tell you when it was made.

Well, somethings not right. You posted a newer serial# (within the last 2-years) yet your watch has a older trituim dial and what appears to be a plastic crystal and is very worn for a recent D-series watch? Your model# is also for a TT watch and not a solid gold model? Double check your #'s they might be from a different watch.

Wolfgang's got a very good point!

Sure sounds like "Houston's got a problem" here.

dear friends
I've opened the watch again, look at the picture. Strange: The serial number at six o'clock is D599299, I don't understand it. There is another numer 1570, as you can see.
WHO CAN RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM? Thank you all for your patience and help
klaus

The 1570 is the movement#. Please post clear pictures of the serial# and model#. Your serial# sequence looks a bit strange and could be a aftermarket case. Also can you confirm its a plastic(plexi) crystal and not sappahire crystal? There have been cases of taking older movements from SS or TT watches and putting them in new aftermarket gold cases.

You are right, it is a plastic crystal!

I believe "uklaus" is providing the number on the MOVEMENT not on the side of the case between the lugs at the six o'clock end??
