Discounts in Dallas

Wondering where a good place to buy in Dallas. I bought my GMT at Jared's about 5 years ago and now it is time for another. Last time they did not offer anything off. What is a good discount to look for? Do most place offer discounts if asked for? thanks

Are you a golf pro? I am a PGA Professional that was in Dallas but am now in Austin. Either way, give me a email, dmpgapro@gmail.com and I will give you a name for an AD with a great selection and nice discount.

Welcome to TRF!

Some AD's give discounts while other AD's have a policy to not give discounts.

As a thumb rule, TT (steel + gold), all-gold and other precious metal Rolex watches are more likely to be discounted since the AD earns more money on those. Watches with diamonds would very likely make the discount even better (I'd say up to 25 % on a good day).

Certain, "ordinary" steel watches like the Datejust (by "ordinary" I mean that it is no sport's model) are also often discounted, say up to 15 or 20 %.

Rolex sports' models CAN be discounted, but you would probably have a harder time getting a discount on those ones. And SOME Rolex models would hardly ever be discounted: The SS Daytona and the Milgauss.

What discount you get depends on:

1) your negotiation skills
2) The size of the AD (and thereby his stock or ability to get a certain model quickly). If the AD has TWO SS GMT IIc's, for instance, you might get one of them at a discount.
3) payment method: cash always helps

Good luck!

Oh, please post pics of what (Rolex) watch you might be picking up!
