and buyers just keep coming back for more... its our own fault.

You are telling me train drivers can shut down London for days on end because they are mad about who's job it is to close the train doors so they strike, but Rolex buyers cant get organized and put a stop to this? Rubbish.... but no one is principled when their daytona c comes in.

Question to the OP, did you flip the Black faced Daytona as that may be the issue if it was traced back to you?

The British are used to rationing... where will Rolex offenses fall with the new maximum allowable purchases?

If this is Rolex new policy, why were you not allowed that second Daytona?

Am very surprised that Rolex resort to such tactics. Do they really need to do this? To disappoint us so badly?

that was separate to the Daytona. He couldn't get the daytona because he already has a black one.... only one per person. Secondly he stated only 2 professional watches per year are allowed which is across the product line up, not one specific reference.

To paraphrase ...You can have 1 daytona period. You can also have one daytona and one sub in a year. You cant have a sub, a GMT, and a Daytona.

So... what about those folks who report going to an AD and being told they can only buy Watch-D if they buy Watch-A and Watch-Y first? Are they just moved to the, “oops; our bad” list and told to come back in another year?

I see, so a maximum allocation of 2 professional pieces per year per person, but they have to be different models. Interesting.

Thanks for your help Tyler. I guess ambiguities will be found in any text, or paragraph. But you do have it spot on....

The thing is over the last couple of years I've been building a bit of a collection and admittedly had a few good ones... The black 500 being the peach.... This whole 2 per year thing - is "allegedly" the "new policy" moving forward. It seems completely OTT to me - but they we have it....

Please don't shoot the messenger, I am just SHARING my news.

Rolex just needs to issue a press release. Buying limits, sticker policy, waitlists, allocations, secret shopping grey dealers to identify who bought the watch, etc... no one knows what is going on

So you are not a flipper but a collector wearer it seems stupid / brutal why they care so much.

Under U.K. law you have the right to a Subject Access Request on the data held by the retailer and Rolex on yourself. I’d do one of those to get to the bottom of the issue.

PS as of May 2018 when the GDPR regulations come in your rights in this area get turbo-charged.

If true, this is to another level of ridiculousness.

I can see and accept Patek doing this - I was the first one to report on here that the Patek distributor in Hong Kong is vetting all purchasers of SS Nautilus models before providing allocations. But Rolex is a mass produced watch! Besides, there are so many ways around this that grey dealers will be the only ones to prosper in the end from all these shenanigans.
