I was hoping for the Ceramic PM Daytona's on bracelets instead of oysterflex

This is exactly how I feel. I never contemplated a rose gold watch but damn that one is a looker from the pictures. It’s completely derailed my desire for a YG DD.
I can’t wait to see some up close wrist shots of it.

But what have they actually done to them? Is there something obviously different about them I’m not seeing? Slimmer?

Interesting thought, but how many Deepseas were sold vs. how many SS BLNR/BLROs (watches we knew we wanted) will be sold?

Yes, but the SkyDweller is years old now.

SS Pepsi is a great looking watch, with Jubilee, making it different enough and giving something different for the current 16710 owners to consider I guess.

DSSD, seems like bracelet shortcomings people were complaining about is resolved.

Daytona without a tachymetric scale, made for the Oscar's red carpet, I guess.

I find the Daytona very tacky - perhaps if your wife is an ukranian instagram-model?

Wow, That's It????? How spectacularly underwhelming and uninspiring from Rolex this year. They need to re-staff every single person who had a part in this year's Basel world disaster.

They did accomplish one major feat. That hideous Daytona makes Bamford look like a respectable major player in making great looking watches.

I agree, even though it is unlikely that I'll get a steel BLRO.

Just the fact that they are offering one, after most of us concluded that with the introduction of the WG BLRO, the Steel was an impossibility is exciting.

LMAO. THIS!

A few years ago Rolex said we could have a new generation Pepsi. But they put it on white gold. Then they said we could have it in steel. But they won't do it with an oyster bracelet. Rolex is playing us---certainly they know that a steel coke or pepsi on an oyster is what is bring screamed for. Why do they hate us?

I posted this in a different thread but maybe this was a better spot for it.

The SS and WG GMT's share the same bezel. Which is the exact same bezel the black dial WG BLRO had. This of all things it most disappointing to me and I'm a little surprised at the excitement over it. My recollection is that the ceramic BLRO bezel is not widely liked in here. The blue is purple-blue, the red is raspberry. I thought they'd get the colors to a true red and blue before rolling this out in SS... or revert to aluminum. The BB GMT bezel's colors are better.

Big let down - was totally correlating the lack of supply with something new and interesting in the sports category. A blinged Daytona, couple of new dials for the Datejust, blah. Like the new GMT actually, but was expecting more...

Totally agree but was expecting a little more creativity. But in saying this Rolex are world leaders in marketing strategies.

Both the DSSD upgrade and GMT are good releases but Tudor has surprised me. I never expected a GMT BLRO from them.

Yawn...but I am on the waiting list for the new Baselworld 2019 thread.

If nothing else I am even more pleased with the two run of the mill Rolex watches I purchased earlier this year.

I can't tell the difference. I guess I need to see a real side-by-side comparison.

Well said. I'm happy with what I have also. I will probably add my first Tudor; the new 39mm BB.
