David Cote / Bitcoin Scam
Hi guys!
I posted in WTB and got a message from a long term member named David Cote. We moved to discussing over mail and he sent pictures of the watch. I was wary because he kept insisting on Bitcoin. I did a reverse google image search and the photos were from a deleted Ebay add posted by someone named David Knapf. I asked David about why the watch had been deleted off ebay, no answer. I then asked if he would sell the watch in person, he has since stopped answering. No idea if he is the actual well-regarded forum member or if his account has been hacked, but beware. |

How do we know this is the real David Cote and not the scammer still?? I would avoid this seller, personally. If you can’t trust him to protect his own personal information, how can you trust him with an expensive watch purchase.
