Hey all!

Panerai rookie here. Anyone know if all PAM 510 are painted dials? Are some sandwich?

Interested in newish, inexpensive sandwich dial

Thanks!!

I have a 510 and its sandwich. It’s 4+ years old. I believe some of more recent models may have shifted to painted which is a pity.

The Pam 00510 was originally introduced in 2013 at SIHH with the sandwich dial, and was produced like that for about a year or two, after which they have shifted to the painted dial. Btw this ref is now discontinued being replaced by Pam 00915, which features the sandwich dial again.

Interesting to know.

I wonder why they switched dial types on the 510. Seems a bit strange

This is sandwich? It looks painted to me! Maybe just the photo quality.

This is a Panerai 560 Base Luminor 8 Days(IIRC), not a sandwich dial. The Panerai 510 is Luminor Marina 8 Days with small seconds, I believe Q/R Series was the last of the sandwich dials.

Yes this is a Panerai 560, I have this watch. I desperately wanted a sandwich dial but opted for this base model with painted dial and I have to say I don't miss not having the sandwich dial (maybe because I have a 422 too )
