Tachymeter on PAM00052?

Isn't the bezel on the PAM00052 supposed to have a tachymeter?

Absolutely. Something is off there.

Here is my 122 for reference (has same tachymetre bezel for 40mm dial).

OK, now I'm REALLY confused. I did some more digging and found this YouTube video with Tim Mosso talking about a PAM00052; however, the watch in his video does NOT have a tachymeter either?!?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Tnq4pv3g8g

However, if you look at the info on the PAM00052 at WatchBase:

https://watchbase.com/panerai/luminor/pam00052

It DOES show a photo of the watch with a tachymeter?!? Can anyone DIFENITIVILY let me know if the watch is supposed to have a tachymeter?

To my knowledge, the only chrono from that era without the tackymetre bezel is the PAM00192 in tantalum. The tachymetre sits on the dial instead.

Someone probably polished it off after it was damaged beyond repair.

After doing further research, now I see indications that the first 150 of the 500 limited pieces were produced without the tachymeter. This could be why I’ve seen at least three instances of the time piece with The smooth bezel?!?
