First Panerai…loving it

I have always been interested in having a Panerai because of the distinctive look but thought the 44mm is too big on my wrist. The smaller PAM sizes don’t do anything for me! Having going through a current health issue, I just wanted to get a new watch as my new daily to cheer myself up. Owing 4 Rolex and being a fan, I was hoping to get an Explorer II but completely forgot the idea after talking to a few ADs since my AD which I acquired all my Rolex pieces is no longer a Rolex dealer. Last week my wife convinced me to try on a 44 mm Luminor in the Panerai boutique and the rest is history. Walked out the store with the new Chrono 01109…just loving it!!

Very handsome watch. You did good. Gladiator we salute you!

Please tell us more about your boutique experience. Was the customer service good? Which boutique did you go to? How many watches did you try on first?

I made an appointment and was greeted promptly when we arrived at the Officine Panerai Toronto Yorkdale. Since I have done my homework with the brand and have already narrowed down to a couple of models, sizing of the watch was more of my concern. The SA who I was dealing with is very friendly and attentive but her product knowledge is not the best. Their District Manager happened to be there who helped her answering a few of my questions. I only tried on 4 pieces before I decided on the Chrono and overall a pleasant sales experience. Got a complimentary brown gator strap and the watch comes with a black rubber, will be ordering a Bespoke orange gator one later today!! This 1109 is my first but I can see more PAMs will be added to my collection!

Congrats, I love it. I used to own a 212 which I regretted selling several years ago. This reminds me of that.

You made a great choice! Absolutely an amazing model. Modern, chrono, love the case, sandwich dial. I love the blue accents, feels so modern. Congrats!
