Incoming... SNJ027 "Arnie"

Just got my brand new SNJ027 "Arnie".

Love this watch, have a feeling this is going to get a lot of wrist time and delegate my Exp2 Polar and GMT Batman to the safe.

"Get to the Chopper!!!" Some pics below...

I've had mine for 5 weeks now, and it's not been off my wrist, simply love it.

Welcome to the club.

Congratulations. Great watch. I own both the Pepsi and the Black and Silver model. I will buy the Gold one when it is available through my AD. I also saw a picture of a blacked out version.

I do not. I wish I had the original. This is also my first Seiko and a big fan so far.

No the SNJ028 on the Seiko web site (exclusive) is still sold out. I wanted something a bit different than the SNJ025 and went with the "pepsi" bezel on the 027.

Not a fan of the extra two warts on the left side, original looks much nicer

Congrats!
Mine arrived today from Seiko USA (025). Says “Made in China” in caseback, just a tad disappointing have to admit.
Anywho, surprised also how long that strap is (though I guess all prospex straps are like that).
Anyone put the Arnie on a different strap ?

Is there a noticeable difference in terms of build quality for being "Made in China"?

I have been disappointed with Seiko's recent release with mis-aligned chapter ring, and none of those were made in China.

It wasn’t so much a dig at China, as it was at Seiko branding. I realize that most of the non-JDM watches are made outside of Japan, but even in their automatic prospex line they have made an attempt to keep their branding Japanese with the words movement Japan (abbreviated) on the dial. As Seiko tries to get more market share of the luxury watch market in the US w Grand Seiko, Presage, and the Prospex LX brands, I was just surprised to see in big font on the caseback of the Arnie “Made in China”. If Seiko wants to brand themselves as a Japanese manufacture , which they should and need to IMO, they need to avoid things like this. Just my 2 cents.
