Here are a couple more

One working; one not. Both are probably from the 70's -- I had them as a boy. The mechanical still keeps great time, even though no service for at least 40 years.

I still remember getting my first LCD quartz watch as a teenager in the 1970s. What a buzz it was to walk around school with one of those on

I don't think King Seiko or the first round of Grand Seiko (1960s & '70s) were ever marketed outside Japan, so that's where you have to look for the best examples, either online or in person.

Well that explains. I'm not saying it's impossible but it's very difficult to find them here. One more reason to book my first trip to Japan.
