Sumo brothers

I accidentally ordered a new green Sumo the other week to accompany my almost 10 year old blue one. The new one currently runs at +2s/day and the old about -5s/month (down from approximately +5s/day when new).

This is just a quick pic, the green is surprisingly hard to catch in less than perfect lighting.

I like how the new endlinks have center link raised.

Sweet. Cool to see how the dial script changed.

I have a green sumo too - SZSC004. The numbers on my bezel look like the blue one you have. Mine is a JDM model that I got last year.

Pongster-san's collection rules the roost! Always like seeing his group shots.

The new model changes are plentiful for sure. For me, the wide numbers on the old bezel always stand out and first make me realize it's a sumo I'm looking at. A closer look at the two watches side by side, you realize the hands, dial, hour indices, and chapter ring have also changed. And, I'm guessing the 6R35 movement is pretty nice.

Ty sir.

My collection of sumos wasnt part of the plan initially.

It started with the yellow. Been obsessed by it. Other than the first generation (non prospex) orange, the yellow is the only second hand acquired piece in this sumo roost.

Couldnt find a bnew yellow and settled for second hand. A client gifted me with the two green ones. I bought the blue and purple/zimbe. Wanted to complete rainbow colors. Hehe.

Pursued the silver. Even if not a rainbow color. Was lucky to find a bnew one.

Then chanced upon the orange.

There’s one last sumo in my horizon - the zimbe 12. When it comes out. Hopefully that’s the last.

I almost bought the orange when you could, but I wanted an orange bezel insert on it too so I skipped it.

Is that a miltat bracelet you have there on yours Pongster? How is it? I have looked into the jubilee and president style miltat bracelets lately.
