Stolen Seriel Number Database

Hi

Would Rolex be able to tell you if a watch is stolen over the phone from the serial number?

Long story short, I am looking at 2 different 16618's, one has service papers one doesn't. The one that doesnt is obviously cheaper, from a reputable seller, but lets face it how can they check if its stolen if not by calling Rolex.

I don't see the need to pay the extra for the one with service papers as I could just get it serviced myself when its needed for less than the markup. But I obviously don't want to risk a stolen watch.

Ignore that. I just called, you can register if stolen but they will only check if you get a quote for a service.
