Any experience ordering watch from US to UK(Any EU Countries)
Hi
I am considering buying some watches from US dealers, and have them deliver to UK . Any good or bad experience ? especially about import duty/VAT? Regards, |

I’ve bought a couple of watches privately from the States. They get stuck in customs and then they nail your hat on for duty. The cheaper price you pay is offset by the shipping and duty. I have said I will not buy from there again unless it’s an exceptional deal.

I bought a 1680 sub 4 years ago from US
Got stuck in customs - had to pay over the phone with credit card to get released. Seller declared full value. Lucky my 6 month bonus was paid month later & covered off the credit card. Expensive lesson learned. 4 years later though - the price I paid+ import - now probably under what Watch worth |
