Help! What is this JLC watch and movement?

Hey TRF,

Looking for help determining what model and movement this JLC is. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Does it have a reference number on the the back of the case (or inside it)?

I have a JLC Vogue (ref. 9226) in 18kt gold from the late 70s that looks a lot like it and has a cal. 895 movement. I know that model was also offered in steel. See below info sheet:

OK - then it is a Vogue like mine, since it says 9226 (ref. 9226) and 42 (steel as per the info sheet I posted). That is a beautiful little watch with a fine movement

Thank you very much! The movement has been dependable for you? How does the 34mm case fit for you (large or small)?

The size is a bit on the small side by today's standards, but due to the thin bezel it wears larger than 33.3mm and is large enough to still work well as a dress watch IMHO. I wear it on special occasions (black tie etc.) as it is the most dressy watch I own.

Considering the age of the watch the movement has held up very well. I bought the watch in 2004 from the original owner (who had not worn it very much) and first had to have it serviced with JLC this year (this was allegedly the first full service since the watch was originally sold in 1979!).

Thanks for the info again! Do you have a wrist pic of yours? Would love to see it.
