My new Eleven 11 x Peli Case

Hi all,

I’ve been storing my watches in a custom wooden display case I ordered off Etsy at the beginning of the year. It’s been great so far, but I’ve been after a hard case for transporting reasons.

Last week I saw a thread posted asking what everyone was storing their watches in. That’s when I saw Mike post his new eight watch capacity carrying case. I was drawn immediately due to the well designed foam interior. Each foam pillow is modeled exactly after the ones found in the Rolex watch boxes, and they compress with ease for smaller wrists. All the timepieces fit snug with no movement when the lid is closed.

I’m very happy with the execution of this case, and not to mention Mike was quick and responsive answering my numerous questions!

And yes, before anyone says anything, I have a few pieces on order to fill the remaining spots.

That’s a great looking case. Thinking about getting the 4 watch one.

Does it come configured for watch storage or do you modify? Looks great. Very interested in picking one up.

It actually comes preconfigured for watch storage. There is a 4 or 8 capacity option.

It’s well worth the additional cost vs the more generic Peli options IMO.

I asked the same question regarding the four model, and Mike said he doesn’t move at all, especially with the lid closed. I’ll send him a message and see if he can chime in here.

The eight capacity model is larger, so they don’t sit as close.

I've used Pelican cases for years for photography equip. I doubt the watches would rub due to the top squishing down on top of them but my problem with the cases is that the foam does begin to pill off after a while of constant taking the contents in and out.

Perhaps with watches it may not as much but I would probably buy the pre-cut over the cut it yourself for that reason. The cuts are probably better.

As Isaac said, the watches are secured axially and laterally when the lid is closed. The foam lid compresses the watches securely and eliminates any movement at all. I use the 4 watch case every day and am extremely precious about my pieces (hulk, BLNR, TT Daytona and Sub date). I would not use a case that I wasn’t 100% happy with or risked damaging my watches, regardless if I made it or not.

The watch pockets have been designed specifically by myself. I’ve been an engineer for 14 years, so have been fully responsible for designing the inner for Peli.

The foam is not the same that peli supply as part of their pick and pluck foam. It is high density and hard wearing and will take constant use without wear.

I would confidently suggest that the peli cases I provide are the best on the market in terms of protection. They are crush proof, dust proof and IP 67 rated (water proof for 1m depth). I’ve had my car on it, so will 100% stand by the strength.

Thanks,
Mike - Eleven:11

Only 2 left in stock, with a restock unlikely before Christmas.

Looks awesome. I use pelican cases for work and my rifles... wouldn't ever go another way for travel. My only dislike on the model shown above is that if its a larger watch your not getting 4 Ap's next to each other without some crown contact..... IMO

My friend has an AP concept, 2 RM’s and an Urwerk in his. They’re all pretty large.

Failing that, the 8 watch case hands plenty of extra room. Haha.

You said “transport” and that’s wide open for interpretation, but no way I ever stick that many expensive watches in checked luggage. I wouldn’t put ANY watches in checked luggage; too easy to have stolen or lost. One watch on my wrist, maybe one extra in my carry-on. Apart from moving house, when might you be transporting this many watches?

I use mine for storage at home, in hand luggage. Never checked in. That’s asking for trouble...

Who said anything about using this for checked luggage? I’m not that ignorant. Things of value are always on my person when traveling.
