Can’t wear my Rolex as a daily, what do you think of a Hamilton

So the title says it all. Can’t wear my Rolex as a daily and someone just got me a Hamilton day date khaki black as a gift, what do you all think of Hamilton?

I like the Hamilton Khaki line.

Out of curiosity, what’s preventing you from wearing a Rolex daily?

No bs, I own a slaughterhouse. I wear my other watches outside of work. At work I’ve been wearing my old sea master but it’s taken it’s fair share of licks.

It’s comfortable. My question was more along the lines of how durable and how’s it hold up
Overall. My omega has held up like a champ for 13 years now.

No BS called I imagine bovine/porcine blood gets messy. I made the mistake of not wearing covers and ruined a nice pair of leather shoes from human blood dripping all over. I would probably change that strap out to rubber.

I was looking at the Hamilton range in the window of a local retailer yesterday. Some nice watches in the range. So much so I’m now considering without one to add to my watch collection.

What a bloody topic this has turned out to be...

Jokes aside, I find the Hamilton Khaki line to be a great value and on the whole, a very well made watch. My daily wear was a Seamaster for years but for hard/field work, I say the Hamilton is as solid as a comparable Seiko, and less commonly seen.

If you like it, I say wear it. If you don't, there are definitely enough Hamilton enthusiasts around to sell it towards the funding of something you like better but don't mind wearing in rough conditions.

Hamilton is a good everyday watch. I prefer wearing my Seiko Sarb033 though. I now wear a Casio DW5600 BB. I don’t know why. But I love it.

I visited a fish processing facility recently, one of the managers was wearing a ceramic Daytona, seemed like it was wrong to wear that watch in that setting, to each their own. Personally, I’d go for a cheaper watch, your Hamilton looks just fine.

I think you'd have a lot of choices depending on what you think is acceptable to spend on a work watch. Hamilton, Oris, Tag all make nice watches in maybe the $1000-3000 range and there's always Seikos and Steinharts depending on your tastes
