Want to buy a vintage clavatrava

Hi all, any good trusted dealers specialising in vintage PPs? Looking for something that has small seconds and not the modern ones.

Try Wind Vintage and Matthew Bain -- both have websites, and I think the latter has all offerings up on Chrono24.

Also try Collectibility run by John Reardon (the very reputable Patek aficionado and collector and formerly with Patek) -- he has a website too.

Good luck!

Thanks. Are you also into vintage PP?

Tropical watch sometimes has vintage Patek. I think he mostly does Rolex but occasionally he’ll have a nice Patek or two

The above.

In your neck of the woods I ran into 2 Tone Vintage when looking for vintage Patek. Patek Monger on the West Coast and Madison Time in NY come to mind as well. Haven't bought from any of them though.

The dealers near me - Meertz World of Time and Bachmann Scher - always have a bunch of vintage Calatravas as well.

Actually I bought a beautiful small seconds Calatrava from a pawn dealer in a Macau casino. I’ve purchased several watches from pawn brokers with no regrets. Not sure I’d recommend it however.

As someone mentioned above, Meertz and Bachman Scher have vintage watches if you are in Germany. In Switzerland, Patek AD Beyer in Zurich has a nice vintage selection. In Asia, there has to be several vintage Patek watch dealers in Tokyo. I remember reading about a vintage dealer who only does vintage Calatrava in Tokyo a while ago.

https://onbehalf.jp/ has the best vintage Patek I have seen in Asia. You can also consider bidding at likes of Sothebys auctions HK but best to go view the piece in person if you can.

There are a lot of Calatravas for sale from dealers in Thailand for very good prices. Dress watches aren’t popular here so the prices are quite good. I tried to trade in my father’s sealed 5115G to a few dealers and they really low balled their offers. I’d just keep the watch.

London, England? (As you are in Canada)
If so try David Khalil at watch collectors

The specialists have already been mentioned however. John reardon, Eric wind and Matt Bain.
