Patek Philippe Nautilus 3711G - Is this the rarest Ever Nautilus made?

Hi All,

I understand the 3711 White gold / black dial PP is the rarest Nautilus' ever produced and seriously scarce, with collectors all over the world interested in this model.
I know it was produced for just one year back in 2005, but does anybody know how many were produced, I have read 200 then I have also read 700.

Thanks

Can’t help with that one but Mr Stern has made it clear he intends to limit the production of the white gold Nautilus 5811 to protect the price - 2500-3500 my guesstimate.

Patek Philippe Nautilus 3711G - Is this the rarest Ever Nautilus made?

Among regular production Nautilus 3711/1G is said to be rare just like 3712/1A. There are others such as 5711/1P-010 (w/o tombstone and never in the catalogue) that I think are a lot rarer. Certainly in a different league on the secondary market. Some gem studded variants might also be much rarer.

I gather there are many 1:1 nautilus in existence. You just don’t see them because the big boys don’t play on Instagram. We know Bernie Arnault has the Tiffany blue 5740 for instance.

These aren’t 1:1 but presumably less made than the 3711 black

The rarest Nautilus are those offered to MR's owners and they could be customized. Some are in baguette lined bezels and they are offered in different dial colours.

Chausser posted his 5711p non tombstone on here not infrequently. I wonder if they've ever done any enamel nautilus, assuming so after seeing that marquetry one

I had a chance to try on a 3711g a few months back. It was heavy but to be honest I was underwhelmed with the black dial. I much prefer the gradient blue dials synonymous with the Nautilus.

OP, if by « rare » you mean number of pieces, then PP made a few « pièce unique » Nautilus for certain clients.

Most of them have never been posted on the Internet, as far as I know.

I actually saw Mr Stern last month at the Tiffany party in NYC, he was wearing 5811 with Tiffany Dial, a very nice man.

It is without question the black dial combination really does make the watch ultimately rare and unique to any other Nautilus which all have blue dials combined with the fact of the very limited production compared to the 5711/5712 that have been produced for over 15 years each the 3711 will go onto be one of the rarest PP of all time that are in compaines standard production run.
