Pepsi & Batman Question

Hey guys,

How hard is it to request a pepsi & a batman & receive an allocation? I bought a datejust and a no-date submariner at rolex AD.

I understand the steel daytona is hard. Thanks

LOL, this forum is littered with members, myself included, who have been waiting for years... Pepsi definitely harder than Batman though.

Welcome to the club!

Not hard to request but to receive, not so much. Batman will be easier as the Pepsi is extremely popular and commands a hefty premium on the open market. Each client and AD are unique but generally speaking I would say the Pepsi won’t happen but good luck.

I've been told that the pepsi is now getting as hard as the daytona.

Prices on the secondary market for all three of those watches are high, which indicates popularity. The Daytona is in another league of hard to get compared to the GMT. With the GMT, jubilee bracelet option is harder to get than the oyster.

Are you prepared to buy a lot more in a short time? Such as gold pieces and jewellery? Than it will get a lot easier but you still have to wait. I would suggest going grey.

Difficulty is directly proportional (inversely) with both quality of relationship and spend history at AD. Sounds like you have good relationship going, so I'd say ask for the Batman, it's your best shot. If you run out of patience, just go grey, lots of reputable sellers on this forum.

Why don't you ask the AD instead of this forum? You've already gotten two from them, only they will give you an answer.

Getting a Pepsi and a Batman can be quite challenging. The demand for those Rolex models is really high, so it might be difficult to get an allocation. But hey, congrats on your Datejust and No-Date Submariner purchases! Those are awesome watches too. Enjoy them!

It is very easy to request these watches. Just go by and ask the AD for one or both of them. You never know, they might even call you one day with an allocation.

I have been waiting for the call for over 3 years now. I believe I have a good relationship with my AD. Since I have been on the list I bought diamond earrings for my wife and a palm motif Datejust along with a Sub 126610LV. I was talking with him a couple weeks ago and he said they have not received a Pepsi in 6 months. Not to taking this thread down the rabbit hole but could the rumors be true?

The Pepsi has now become harder than a Daytona because they have not been in any deliveries.... so any recent sales have come from the AD safe I'm told. The Daytona will remain the grail in the long term however, but on its heels will be the Pepsi.

Very easy actually.

Head to the Trusted Sellers section and look at their listings. Or go to their websites.

I’m done with the AD game. I was literally just told by an international AD from whom I’ve bought 3 Rolexes that I can’t buy anymore until I buy some other things.

And I was looking for a ladies DJ model, not some pie in the sky long shot wait list item.

And that Rolex, the company, would only let him sell a customer 1 or 2 watches per year. No more. Rolex rules.

I just said that’s completely not true and walked out.

This from an AD I visit 2-3 times per year for the last 6 years.

What a crock. Just pay the premium and get what I want overnight shipping. I hate the game, but it is what it is.

Since I just was in the market for a new GMT this past 3 months trying to decide which one I wanted to rebuy, I watched both extremely closely with our trusted sellers. A couple common trends emerged with all the sellers. First, the SS GMT market is edging upwards where other models have stabilized or slightly fell over the last 3 months. Probably due to speculation with the upcoming GMT anniversary but regardless it is on the move.

Second, the BLRO deliveries have slowed with the BLNR taking up the slack from Rolex. There are BLRO hitting the market at our trusted sellers on a regular basis but with the demand has their prices up but they are selling at these inflated prices. The BLNR prices have followed the same trend but at $3k -$4k less than comparable BLRO model. The jubilee bracelet models in both the GMT models hold a higher premium over the oyster bracelet and that is due to what the market prefers more.

What I found interesting is even with more BLNR being released by Rolex the last three months, they are all selling just as quick. This confirms the ss GMT market is moving faster than others and at a higher premium than a year ago. We will see what Rolex does for 2024 and especially the GMT line up as I feel it’s this speculation that is pulling the SS GMT market up.

Interesting comment about the jubilee bracelet, because there are nothing but jubilees for sale according to Watchrecon - https://www.watchrecon.com/?query=12...=0&brand=rolex

What’s your go-to cigar? Those Cohiba blue ones give me one hell of a buzz.

I have so many from Cohiba black as the quick 20 minute cigar to 60 ring Maduros. I have a walk-in humidor in my home so my collection is really all over the place depending on the mood.
One of my favorite everyday is the Oliva Series O. Either Maduro (stronger) or Connecticut (mild). If you want something milder then a good start is a Macanudo Portofino. Smooth even burn and very mild. The La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor is another favorite of mine. “Leaf by Oscar Connecticut” is a very good medium to mild favorite of mine.
