Best man's Rolex for a woman?

We are all aware of the trend of women wearing larger men's watches, and I'd like to buy something like that for my wife for Christmas. What have you all seen or done that works well, in terms of a men's watch for a woman?

I have everything listed in my sig. I love them all but the 16610 gets the most wrist time followed by the TT YM rose and chocolate dial. You can’t go wrong with any 40 mm

Does she have the wrist size of a man? If not it is a bit like buying shoes 4 sizes too big, just unnecessarily uncomfortable.

YM would be my pick although my wife would never wear a big watch.

Take her to your local AD and buy the lady whatever she wants. If she is like most wives, she puts up w our CRAP and deserves more than we could ever possibly give them.

Open the check book and just smile as you write the check!

Merry Christmas!

First of all, I assume you've ascertained that she actually wants a man's watch? What if she's on a women's shoe forum right now and asking what's the best pair of ladies shoes with 6" heels to buy for her husband? Secondly, much depends on the size of her wrists. I see huge Rolex, AP and Panerai divers on spaghetti wrists here all the time; I don't think it's a good look but as long as they're happy.

If she's happy with a man's watch then go either YM or Daytona. I've seen both worn by women and they can look pretty cool.

116610LV.

I’ve also seen a number of petite ladies pull off wearing YM IIs - and they looked great

36mm DateJust. Wife loves her frankenwatch (she chose it) and it was only about $5k. While many here might be taken back by non-Rolex items such as dial and the case being modded, my wife simply LOVES this watch and it looks/works great. Remember, this is to make YOUR WIFE happy, not you or some illusion that you might wear it. You're buying it for your wife, not you.

Happy Wife
Happy life

My Sales Associate in Singapore wears a BLNR, great choice. Also seen many an LVc on young lady’s wrists.

Actually there are several choices out there including the others you mentioned.

Large watches are a novelty in my opinion. Cool at first but not so comfortable after long time wear. If I were to get my wife a larger piece it would be 37mm, no larger.

JCATT

I would suggest taking her to actually TRY THEM ON ! She may prefer 36mm vs 40mm.

Three Christmases ago I bought my wife a 28mm date just. She is a petite 5'0 100lb woman and likes the watch but can't read the time or date. She commandeered my CMTII C and beat the crap out of it for a year or so and decided it was way to heavy. last year I bought a 40mm Explorer II and she can see the time and date and is not to heavy for her. The drawback on a mans watch on a small frame lady is all the removable links have to be removed from the bracelet and adjusted to the smallest size and the clasp is off to one side. Bottom line, take her to the AD and let her choose.

What is a "man's Rolex"

Watches have sizes not genders.

36mm DJ. I don't understand why this isn't the obvious answer. I think this forum has jumped the shark.

Any AD will tell you they sell as many 36mm DJs to women as they do to men these days. They almost consider it unisex at this point. I'm personally not a fan of men's watches on women, and think the 31mm DJ is the ideal women's Rolex. Unless you have an especially large-sized woman.....
