Incoming - The infamous! 5711 Blue.

Morning all,

After what seems eternity, my AD confirmed arrival of the coveted 5711.

Wait has been just shy of two years and I was fortunate to get on the list for this piece before the 20% increase and boom in demand. Having hardly slept between excitement and the dog being sick I am now just counting down the hours.

Delivery is expected with the AD from 10am and will be making the trip with my father. All being well, on the wrist no later than 1pm.

Will do my best to get pictures from this occasion and share later today into this evening.

For now, a picture of the dog who has kept me up since 4am.

Wish us luck.

Sorry if question is silly but does this mean you get to paid the “old price” because you were on the list before the price increase?

That is not how it works. If there is a price increase, he will pay the current / 'new' 5711 price. Maybe he's going to be in for a shock when he hears it...

That is unless an AD took a deposit/agreement honor to sell it to him at that retail price regardless of a price increase but which AD would do that...

This!

Mine funnily enough arrived just two days after the price increase. And yes, I paid the new price.

That’s what I thought too!! I wasn’t sure so I asked...

I was ready to pick up the phone and call the SA for the delivered 5712 paid with the new price!

False alarm everything is good...

Similar situation, but in my case is a couple weeks after price increase.

Its always funny to see the one every blue moon nautilus/aquanaut (or AP Royal Oak) purchaser on here who paid a deposit before the price increase and then is outraged that he is forced to pay the new retail amount Sad reality but didn't know it comes as a shock to some, maybe a sales associate just keeps quiet until they're present to collect the watch and then hit's you with the news..

In my case it was three or four months and the price increase had long been factored in, no surprise there.

But if it is just two days you are kinda wondering for how long they have had the watch before you got the call...

Many congrats - enjoy your collection day

I am reading it that the OP is associating the price increase with an increase in demand and he was in with his order before the spike - not that he is paying anything other than current list.

When I had my 50% SS Daytona deposit in, the AD said that I was protected against any price increase. Of course, they anticipated Spring 2017 delivery and I got my deposit back December 2018.

I can only imagine how reluctant they would have been to fill my order at the old price if there had been a price increase.

Congrats, post some pics when you get it ..... BUT, as others have written, you should expect to pay current price, not the price before the 20% increase. Such is life .
