15450 (37mm) vs 15400 (41mm) Pics!

I struggled deciding which RO size to get. Now that I own both I thought I would provide some photos for those in the same dilemma on whether to get the 15450 or 15400/15500. Here are some photos I took on my 6.5 inch wrist.

Thanks for the comparison (especially with the Daytona). Which are you planning to keep?

This is the first comparison that made me want to start looking at the 37mm version. The Daytona comparison really put things in perspective that the 41mm is too large for most wrists. Thanks!!

15450 appears to be the perfect fit in this case.

I like how 37mm wears on your wrist more.

Ditto. A number of people have been making the case for the sensibility of the 15450 vs the 15500, but none better than this.

37mm looks good on you - not that you're asking for an opinion heh.

I think I’m going to keep the 41mm. Wrist size is not the only factor I have to consider. I got the 15450 initially and although the fit was great on my wrist it didn’t look right on my body. Reason being is I’m a gym rat so my arms are larger than one would think with my small 6.5 inch wrist. Something others should also consider when deciding on the 37mm or 41mm….it’s not only your wrist size that should determine what dial size to go with but also your overall stature. Wish I thought about this before. Oh well, you live and you learn.

you lose nothing by keeping both anyway, prices only going crazier by the day for both

I have a small wrist and the 41mm would be out of the question. The 37mm is a great case size for me.

But one key thing that stands out as a big difference that could come off as more "dainty" is the width of the bracelet. When compared to my 39mm 15300ST the difference is night and day. It tapers narrower much faster.

I found this picture on Reddit that shows a clear comparison of the bracelets of the 15450ST vs. 15300ST vs. 15202ST:

that 15450 is fake and a google image search confirms it. the vertical links being too close to each other is a dead giveaway, they're way too far from the edges

Well, I don't want to argue about that specific Reddit picture, but the bracelet difference is real. Here's a pic of my 15450ST vs. 15300ST side by side I just took:

The 15450 taper shape looks different and more "hourglass" like.

for sure, the bracelet difference is definitely real. i was just pointing out that the watch in that pic was fake and it's all over rep subreddits/rep websites and the vertical center links make it look even worse. when you photograph the 15450 from the top like that it definitely looks a bit weird but when you wear it it's not as noticeable imo. it was also one of my concerns when i was looking to pick one up but once i saw it in person and put it on i never questioned the taper

still, nothing beats the 15202 taper and proportions though

Thanks for the comparison and this is great help, I am debating on a 26315ST (38mm) vs a 26331 (41mm) myself.

Agreed. Two things on the 15450 that stand out to me as being too small for my overall stature. The dial size and the bracelet. The case size is fine but the silver dial just seemed a little small for my liking. The 15400 is more for me but still not perfect. As many would agree the 15202 or even the 15300 is the perfect size! Unfortunately I just can’t justify the market price on the 15202. So the 15400 will do just fine for me :)

Me too! I'd love it if anybody has any wrist comparisons between those two.

Something is wrong with the 15202 dial in this picture.

Yeah, huncho pointed out that these are probably fakes.

I should have scrutinized the picture closer before taking the first result off of Google Image search.

Great pics in the OP on the basis of which I think 15400 looks far too large on you (the watch is wearing you rather than the other way around) while 15450 is spot on.

I’d also add that flatness of the wrist is quite important. Recently got 15500 and my wrist is just under 6.5, probably closer to 6.4. But i have a flat wrist and it looks great. Wasn’t able to try on 15450 so don’t have a good comparison but the 15500 isn’t oversized for my wrist at all.

I think some posters have already pointed this out but I will too. All 3 watches here seem off. I think they are all fake.

You make a great point - I’m in a similar boat and am opting for a 15500. Reason being that I have a very flat wrist and lift a lot, so smaller watches don’t look right (despite my 6.5” wrist).

Great picks from Greg...just showing off now ;-)

If I had a sub 7" wrist, I would be looking for the 15300 if I couldn't get a 15202 instead of the 15450.

I am sure they will never do it, but it would be nice if the next RO (15600 maybe?) was just a tiny bit smaller at 41mm.

They are obviosly not going to add a 15300 size as that would be too many, but coming down just a hair would make the standard RO an option for more people. I don't think have a standard model close to the 15202 but not "extra thin" would steel any sales from the 15202. Can't get it anyhow....but imagine like a 39.5MM standard RO?

Would be pretty sweet. As for me...I have a 7.25" wrist that is flat...so the 15400/15500 is a good size for me.

Haha I guess I do show off a little bit
I truly think that 39mm is the sweet spot. Not much to complain here about the 15202
Even people were complaining about the quick date but I think it is not a true deal breaker especially that you can go from 11 to 1 to change date without having to do the full 24h...
