Got first dose of Pfizer 5 days ago. Slightly sore arm, but nothing else.

Second dose in a couple of weeks.

Congrats! Consider getting your second dose in the opposite arm.

I got my first does of the Phizer on Thursday no problems with it. My girlfriend got the Johnson & Johnson today. She said her arm is really sore.

I got my first shot one Wednesday. The wife was able to get the J & J shot this morning.

She's currently in bed with severe chills, a pounding headache and a temperature of 102.

If anyone has any input... I took my mom, 87 years young, for her first shot two weeks ago. Next week I take her for her second; Phizer. She maybe felt a little tired after the first, but nothing really.

I have heard stories the second is the worse of the two. Has anyone have experience in my mother’s age group that can share how it went?

Paul,

My 90 yo dad said the 2nd shot was no problem. He felt a little tired, slept 8 hours, and no lasting effects the next day other than a slightly tender arm at the injection sight.

Much better, thank you for asking. She just has some body aches and a mild fever.

My twenty one year old son also got the J & J shot yesterday. I received a text from him at 11:30 last night that he was vomiting and running a fever.

He too is feeling better today, but not quite yet a hundred percent.

Eddie, I'm glad to hear they are feeling better.

I had a reaction to the 2nd Moderna, but my wife had the Pfizer regimen and had zero issues. It really is an individual response.

I had mine on Thursday the 11th. No issue except for a sore arm for two days. For the J&J it's "one and done;" for the Pfizer and Moderna it's "twice is nice!"

Got my first Pfizer March 10, nothing other than a sore arm. Second Pfizer in a couple of weeks. From the posts here and the general consensus on the internet, it seems the side effects from the second shot are a little bit worse with Moderna than Pfizer. That's an overgeneralization, of course, and individual responses will vary, but it seems more people fare a little worse with Moderna than Pfizer vis-a-vis side effects.

No side effects from first Moderna for me. My arm is fine. Just went for 7 mile walk less than 24 hours after the jab. No different than a flu shot so far.

I am sure the second dose in a month will have some side effects.

Will be glad to finally have some protection when this first dose kicks in two weeks from now. People seem to have made the determination that COVID is no longer a threat based on the behavior I am seeing around town.

My cousin's wife just got hers and he's waiting for his. They're in Hillsborough ... but did have to drive 45min to get the vaccine.

Good luck with it! A chance can pop up when you least expect it, as happened to us.

I’ve had mine, get my second on the 23rd. I have a medical condition that bumped me up in eligibility, and this week TX opened to everyone over 50, my wife is 51 and if she can get an appointment and the JnJ she’ll be fully vaccinated before me!

No issues from the shot, like a flu or tetanus shot.

I’m in Florida and tomorrow my age group becomes eligible.
We were able to register last week and we are getting our first shot at noon.
Feeling a sense of relief to be moving forward.
