Yes, just as one can also take a factory spec Daytona and make a custom blinged RBOW. Doesn’t make it a legit RBOW and the secondary value veru mich reflects that.

aftermarket/photoshopped or not, It just looks off to me and I prefer the strap version. That being said, I've wished for year they'd make a bracelet version of the 5712r...now that I see it, I'm not crazy about it

It is definitely not photoshopped. The current owner claims it is a piece unique with papers stating 5712/1R. Others have said that it was the only 5712 that Patek swapped to a bracelet after sale.

Doubt patek would swap after the fact. Not saying impossible, but highly highly unheard of. I'd be curious to see the paperwork if this is indeed from the factory. Don't care about owner info obviously, just the ref # & bracelet

Nico, roman sharf, and others were on a live chat the other day and they were discussing this watch. Nico has the papers stating this is /1r. Video can be seen on timepiece gentleman youtube channel. Market update from 5/7 around 29 minute mark.

Believe what you want, but I don't think he has anything to prove, much more to lose if he was trying to pass this off as legit and it was fake.

It would have to be custom made by PP or a watchmaker, many in GZ are very skilled now, as the endlink would have to be a unique size to accomodate the case and bracelet. A pic of it on the scales would clear up if its real or not.

Again, regardless of whether it is real, you can just put the 5711R bracelet on the 5712R if you really want lol. Should make no difference.

How can it be a 5712R with the 5711 bracelet? It doesn’t fit. Not unless it’s had some third party modification. More likely Patek have provided it to some VVIP as potentially a one-off in which case if ever sells will be for a crazy amount.

I could see Patek selling you a bracelet for a 5712r if you were a VIP and asked at a service to convert it.
But, as Archie would say "they'd tear you a new a hole for the service"
I'm guessing a replacement RG bracelet for a Nautilus would be $40k at least.

interesting thread. i am now considering 5712g and was curious about getting a bracelet, which apparently is an option via PP. i wouldn't mind having one custom made so long as it was interchangeable with the strap.
i wonder .........

and i probably shouldn't wonder too long. i was thinking about the 5990 just a few months ago and seems prices have risen another 15k or so. to me making it no longer appealing. not interested in chasing clouds
