What treadmill would you recommend?
My old lady wants a treadmill. I said Peloton tread+ and she shot it down. Do any of you have a home treadmill you love with Bluetooth capabilities and all the other bells and whistles most treadmills have these days? Thanks for any recommendations or reviews.

In my experience, no matter the initial enthusiasm to get one, they all end up being a clothes hanger at some point.
I'm no help I know, but do hope you find what you're looking for!

Woodway, have had mine for 7 years and it has never had clothes or anything else hanging on it. It gets daily use from either my wife or I. Buy once Cry once and if you need to sell it it will hold its value like no other treadmill. Best of luck.

Wow. 8-9k refurbished!! I think she shot down the peloton due to its price so the woodway is probably going to be a no go as well. I agree about usage and know many who have gotten rid of treadmills after a year of no use pre pandemic. I’ve been looking for something modern, used and relatively depreciated but I think the pandemic has put a stop to cheap treadmills. I believe she will use it regularly so I’m on board for a new treadmill, just have to make her happy with it. Thanks for the replies this far gentlemen. I appreciate it. I can recommend a Landice treadmill. Excellent products for home. Not cheap, but well worth it. American company as well

Peloton Tread is much cheaper than the Tread plus.

I’ve had a pro form for years. I put in a home gym this year and even though I’ve had it for years it still a key component of my workouts. I’ve been extremely happy with it. It has a lot of miles on it with zero problems. Although I let the subscription run it is still has plenty of features with all the built in stuff. The older I get the more often I use it in lieu of running outdoors. It used to only be for bad weather days, which are plentiful in upstate New York, but now I use it on nice days too. I try to run at least three miles a day and I find it easier on the joints to accomplish that if I alternate between treadmill and pavement. For me it’s been a wise investment. I personally have yet to use it to hang clothes on but I think it could probably hold a decent amount, so if you don’t use it for running it won’t be a total waste.

I got an iFit model at Costco a few months ago and love it. It’s whatever model they have there. It has an app so you can do all of the fancy around the world runs (or walks) on an iPad or just use it in manual model, like I do. The app stores your information for reference.

I bought a PRECOR 9 years ago and have used it at least 5 times per week since. It has no bells and whistles, but it's amazing. Close to health club quality and no issues whatsoever. Literally the best thing I've ever bought. Not super expensive but I love it.

Sole makes a decent treadmill for home use. We’ve had ours ~6 years and we both use it 5 days per week on average and it’s in fine shape.

I second this! I had a LifeFitness for along time and was constantly adjusting the belt. Landice is built like a tank and as I recall a lifetime parts warranty for residential use.

Get one that matches your furniture for when it becomes a clothes storage hanger.

Disregard that. I found my confirmation email from when I bought.
It’s a TL PROFORM PRO 9000. Which apparently is still the name of a model they carry but it’s been redesigned with a different item number. The old item number was PFTL17116 The current one is PFTL15820. For whatever that’s worth. |

No problem. Mine is just about five years older with zero problems and a lot of miles. My kids just started using it this year with supervision. They’re 11 and seven and it’s no worse for the wear and they could probably break a M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank if you gave them an afternoon and the proper motivation.

I owned a True treadmill for about 15 years. It was a commercial grade heavy duty piece of equipment. It had a relatively small footprint and was solidly constructed. There was no such thing as Bluetooth at the time that I bought this. I’m sure today many of their models come equipped with Bluetooth capabilities. I never had a single issue with it … and I used it daily. At the time that I purchased it, about 25 years ago, it was approximately $4000 Canadian. I have no idea what they’re going for today, but if they’re constructed in the same way as they used to be, it’s well worth looking into. Good luck.
