My new car

It was a combination YOLO and a bit of impatience to get one now and enjoy it rather than wait for an allocation and order one and hope that the parts shortages don't delay it too long and I got to use a discount code that expired in June...

I bought it sight unseen, no test drive, no negotiation (well, maybe a little) and based purely on my desire to get another car with a manual transmission, which is becoming more and more difficult these days.

For those who don't recognize it, it is a BMW M4. The color is Brooklyn Grey.

I could have bought a new Rolex instead, but this is more fun and actually obtainable. LOL

It has a 473 horsepower sequential twin turbo inline 6 cylinder engine, six-speed manual transmission, carbon-fiber roof, and more gizmos than I can count. It actually rides quite nicely, great seats, typical BMW build quality and driving dynamics, except turned up to 11.

I can't drive it right now because I used up all the gas getting it home.

I hear you on the Rolex thing - sometimes it's ok to venture away from watches for something...faster. Haha.

Awesome - I used to have manual E39 and manual E46. Nothing compared to this beast

How does that exhaust sound?

Nice choice I love the car. Even the polarizing front end. BMW lost me with the naming conventions eg. M3 is 4 door but M4 is 2 door.... and don't get me started on what a "Grand Coupe" is.... Regardless that's a sweet machine... Enjoy

Congrats, Michael! So happy to hear it has a manual transmission, like every BMW I've owned. A lot of fun to be had with this, enjoy!

It's pretty nice, not too loud and not droning at all. There are different settings that change the volume, which I'm still learning. Of course, half the exhaust sounds are fake...

Thanks. Yeah, the pipeline is open, but I live in a state full of MORONS and they've sucked dry all of the stations. It's like a threat of snow, when they clean out the grocery stores of all of the bread and milk.

Thanks, yes, I'll try to get more pictures. I have camera issues (user error) so this one was the only one that turned out decent.

For sure, we all need to make some YOLO decisions every now and then. Well done.

An M3 has always been the desire, when screensavers were a think that was my go to !

Enjoy it.

Congratulations. Looks fantastic. The new S58 series engines are definitely scoring high on performance and surprisingly reliability, to the point where Toyota gave its seal of approval for the B58 (on which the S58 is based). Happy motoring.
