The next Youtube reality watch dealer show - "Grey Market"

Since the other thread "Day in the Life of" was locked, I wanted to push this out there. It's brand new & while similar to the TPG series, but far more business & watches and much less lifestyle. TPG & others have some cameos, but I think this is much more WIS oriented.

"GREY MARKET", done by Roman Sharf. "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xP_ft34xOMM"

Hopefully this one doesn't "turn" & create controversy like the other one.

Roman Sharf is much more educated and experienced in the watch game. Anthony only buys and sells hype watches and doesn’t know a thing about horology. Sometimes listening to Anthony speak literally irritates me. His partner Marco is better informed about watches but is boring to watch. Roman and Adrian is definitely a better channel to view.

I love how Roman saw how Anthony’s idea was gaining traction, essentially copied it, added better production values, and launched his own show. Roman is a shark!

Even CRM’s new show is quickly nipping at Anthony’s heels. Ha!

Punters, all of them.

No one, and I mean NO ONE has more street cred here on TRF than...

I find these shows entertaining, except for Roman. He’s the least trustworthy in my opinion. If you ever checkout their website it’s like Chrono24. He advertises every watch like he has it in stock. Trust me he doesn’t have them, but can get them of course! At least Anthony from time piece gentleman advertise what they actually have to sell...

Have you actually watched the video ? One is a legitimate business with full staff and the other don’t even know what they are buying or selling on a given day

I agree, Roman is very good to watch, not sure how his sidekick Adrian came to be involved, he wasn’t in the early shows.

Thanks for the tip, Andy. I just watched the first one. Strangely compelling viewing; doesn’t seem like it’s really about the watches, more about the hustle and the tough, proud personalities. Interesting though.

+1, although I don't mind if he doesn't have it in stock and can get it at their listed price. Unfortunately I find the prices not their website not be accurate.

Unfortunately just saw most recent episode. I got put off by the flashy lifestyle ( talking about buying Lamborghini’s etc) while crowd sourcing to build out their own retail space. I would make sacrifices myself before asking others to do so.
I do wish these guys well, I’m just a little put off.

That's really a cultural difference between 'old school' and the modern way of business. Perhaps watch a few (c)rap videos on MTV, you'll see what I mean.

Check out the link I put up top; different company, less flash, no crowdsourcing.

I'm liking Romans Grey Market channel, I like the cutting back and forth and him explaining things.

I can’t make it through 10 min of any of these shows. I don’t get the appeal.

To make matters worst, they reframe their e-begging as an “opportunity” for the views to “get involved” with their business. I don’t know if that comes from sheer ignorance, a complete lack of self awareness, or just shady ethics.

Watch Archie Luxury

Please watch Archie Luxury’s critique of timepiece gentleman and to a lesser degree luxury bazaar. It’s going to end badly for those guys. Anthony may be doing something illegal with the ponzi scheme
These “reality “ shows have become unwatchable.
Flashing wealth indiscriminately?
Who really gives a darn about these guys ?

Ok that Archie guy just gave me a seizure. How does anyone watch any of these people? I’d rather chew bricks.
