Oh the horror.

It’s not like your house burned down or you just got laid off. Those would be a struggle. We are talking ridiculously expensive accessories here. It sucks that you can’t be guaranteed perfection at this price point, but it’s not like any of these defects significantly affect your standard of living, which is how most people would define a struggle.

The Fendi, Goyard and LV card holders are the only ones that really see use now!

Stumbled onto this thread after losing my LV damier ebene wallet last week. Sprung for the FLP bi-fold, 6cc in steel grey. Should be delivered in a few days...pretty pumped!

I received the wallet a couple days ago and my initial thoughts are that it is definitely well made but more "rubbery" than the LV canvas. It came with a nice handwritten note and a cool book about the history of FLP. So far, very happy with the purchase but I do hope I don't run into the same issues as other on this thread.

I understand some companies (e.g., chanel) refuse to sell online but others certainly do. Are these companies going to move out of 1998?

No idea. Goyard is the same way. Seems you’d be destined to fail but hey.

As the populations age, the probability of them to fail will directly increase simple because the younger the consumer, the more the desire to make a few clicks and just buy something.

Just sent a request for a catalog. Really like the mini bi-fold.

My LV wallet has seen it's day after about 8 years. Don't carry as much or as many cards
around at this point either so it may be a good fit.

A year in and mine has been holding up fine. A little tearing on the yellow bordering paint where I’m probably hitting with my cards, but other than ok. All good

I'm interested in the wallets, however why I go to their website/instagram I can't see their products. How are you guys finding which wallet to purchase? Sorry this is a pretty stupid question (lol).

I was also tempted to look @ Bally while I am in LA next month.

Not a stupid question at all. I reached out to them at boutique@faurelepage.com and they sent me pictures of the wallets and associated costs.

They are very pleasant and will send links to everything when you request a catalog if you don’t see what you are looking for just ask. Remember they are around 6 hours ahead of us depending where your located and will respond eventually . Smooth process and if Fed Ex tracking correct two day delivery and I should have mine tomorrow.

Same reason we don’t all wear grand seikos

Seriously though I’ve been considering one from Chester mox. Do you have a shell wallet? I may have missed it.

Thank you.

I sent an email as soon as I posted my last reply. Once they respond, I will most likely ask for a catalog. My goal is to find a wallet where my ID is view able when I open it up. I hate having to take out my ID every time I walk into a bar. (lol)
