We've got a classic battle on our hands: Brain vs Brawn.

Obviously Batman is a top level human with unlimited resources, martial arts training and a detective's wits. The Hulk is pure muscle and emotion. If the Hulk got a hold of Batman at any point, it wouldn't matter what kind of armor Batman has on, he's toast.

Now if there was any prep-time for the fight, Batman would no doubt have come up with some new tool to subdue the Hulk and diffuse his use to brute strength. I would assume he would put the Hulk to sleep, or blind/confuse him into tiring himself out fighting illusions.

Maybe...Juuuuust maybe, the Hulk would find an unforeseen peace within himself to merge Bruce Banner's brain with the Hulk's strength...THEN it would be Hulk all day. Interested to see how the fight progresses.

I have the BLNR and love it except for the PCL's. They get marked easily. I travel every week and the GMT is useful. Wish they still made the GMT with brushed bracelet.

Hard to tell what you want. You have the black sub, either you want a different function or a different color. A tool guy would want a different function, a fashion guy would go for a different color.

Get the Batman now, sell SubC towards getting an LV later.

Went through this same debate about a year ago and ended up going BLNR and have no regrets, it's an awesome piece. Funny thing is I'm back in the market again and the Hulk is back in the ring, this time against the 16610lv Kermit and an AP Royal Oak 15300.

Thanks for all of the interesting comments.
So I didn’t tell the full story, I also have a SS GMT Pepsi! I’m leaning towards maybe reading the Sub for the Sub LV (hulk) ?!

That's what I did. Looks much better with the glidelock bracelet on it, and I love the glidelock adjustability.

These type of threads are kind of like the same-old, same-old issue-wise. You need the wisdom of Solomon to decide between two equally compelling choices. If you have the bucks, or even if you do not, buy both, you will pay it off eventually. These two scratch all the WIS itches and for argument's sake if you buy one or the other what is the next bang for the buck watch purchase that would be better? These two and a sub no-date will make a Rolex side of a collection complete, subject to one PM move-up.

They wear very similar. Technically the sub is 1 mm thicker however the glidelock on the sub is worth considering! I wish rolex puts it on all its models

Hmmm... I debate regularly over which is better. Like you I started with the SubC then added the BLNR then last the LV.

Personally I feel the BLNR wears lighter and feels smaller. It definitely sits lower on the wrist and has the smaller clasp. It is rarer though in the wilds here in London/suburbs.

Both great choices. If I had to choose only one addition I’d probably go green (but then I do think the Submariner is the perfect watch).

I have a sub. Just literally sat down and made this decision yesterday at local AD. Green dial/face is stunning, no question. The glide lock clasp is benefit. For me, the choice was personal. At some point in the future I will own both. In the meantime, the BLNR is an easier wearing everyday watch. So the use/value I get out of the watch until I am ready to purchase the second watch, was simply higher for me with the BLNR. The green sub felt more like a “special occasion” watch. I like that.

I had the SubC Date LN and then got the BLNR. I found the black dial too similar and wanted to add color - so flipped the LN for the LVc.

This is what I will say to you, since you are asking BLNR vs LVc - you will get both. It’s a matter of which first.

beautiful watches! are the bracelets for the Hulk and BLNR of the same size? For example if you had to take out 3 links for the Hulk, did you take out 3 as well for the BLNR?

They are both awesome....but I think if I had to pick one it'd have to be the BLNR. Beyond the great looks (I can't say it's better than the green dial of the lvc though), the GMT complication is just more useful and the aesthetics is overall more versatile than the green sub.

Am I the only one who likes polished center links? I like brushed bracelets as well. But PCLs look nice, too. Different looks....I don’t understand why there is SO much hate for PLCs

I like PCL also. Not in my Sub but I do like it on my GMT.

I wouldn't say I dislike PCL but I can positively say that I prefer BCL.

However, aside from preferring one or another, what I really wouldn't do is changing the originality of the watch. I've been tempted many times to have my BLNR bracelet's center links brushed but luckily I could resist the idea. But GMTs mods with BCL look fabulous though.

IMO, when it comes to BLNR and LVc, one cannot live without the other !

And you if you have the chance, add a 3rd one:

I even want in the near future, to add both GMT and SUB LN !!
