I didn't see a picture of replacing any parts? I'm asking because I can see a a circle on the 3135-560 rotor axle clip, one that looks like its worn out.
Also, do you use the automatic oiler for the regular jewels? If so, why?

I recommended the replacement of some parts(crystal, main spring, rotor axle clip, and rotor axle)but I've replaced just seals.Client desire...As you can see,the crystal need replacement as well but does not depend on me.
Nevertheless the final result can be seen on the timegrapher. Automatic device works fine without any noises and problems.
Cheers

Hmm, you're an independent watchmaker then?

We usually don't discuss replaced movement parts with customers, regular things like rotor axle, barrel complete, a few gears, etc are all in the price.
Unless you have an older movement with excessive wear we will charge extra.
But that's the difference between independent and RSC.

Results look good

Thanks for your post. How do you measure wear, do you have special micrometers or other instruments to measure versus specification ?

I saw a video which showed the watchmaker doing the same thing depicted in these photos. The video was sped up of course, but was really cool. One of the many reasons I give for being fascinated with Rolex is the way they work .... There are so many very small parts, some very time, which fit into a very small case (26, 31, 36, 39, 40, 41, 43 mm cases) and each part work together to show the correct time, date, day, and even month. Some of these watches can measure speed, some can go as deep as 4,000ft. deep in the ocean. The watches with date features change the date instantly at midnight .. It's cool that these watches do all these things while keeping water, dirt and dust and all other bad stuff out of the movement. And what is my favorite things these watches can do after listing all this other stuff? The can wind themselves, and keep themselves wound so they don't stop running.

Incredible machines. In one regard, I suppose they are expensive. But from another point of view, they ought to cost many times more than they do, a hundred times more. A small miracle each one.

I miss working with Rolex. Some of the older models makes you wanna curse, but the overall quality makes it very desirable to work with.

Sounds like a love affair. Hahaha.

Genuinely curious, what exactly makes you want to curse?

Was it the opening, prying, unscrewing, cleaning, lubricating etcetera, etcetera. The customers, hahaha.

Excuse my bliss.

Excellent images! Reassembly looks like it too you 2hr 40 mins. That's amazing, I'd spend that time looking for the screw I dropped into the carpet!

Thanks for sharing :)
