If it is, sure looks good. Lines are all crisp and sharp. Nice condition.

I concur with the above. If it has been polished, it was done very lightly and done well to the point where its moot.

If it is I'm betting that whoever did it will have a long queue forming at their door for future work! Looks great.

Looks nice and crisp to me, concur with the above comments, if a polish was ever done, they followed factory specs. Great looking GMT

Looks great; the fading on the insert don't really match the wear on watch, imho.

How come it’s a Swiss only dial on a GMT Master rather than GMT Master ii? In my ignorance I thought the Swiss only was a late 90s thing?

I'm saying polished. The brushing on the lugs is circular while if I'm not wrong the factory finish should be straight

I’m no expert but the lugs show signs of polishing to my eyes!
Great watch though

OP, do you know the year of production? Swiss only dials came from factory for a very short time on U and A serials if I remember correctly.

Dial looks wrong?
Just compare it against similar watches before you purchase. Check this one out, seems too good to be true. Nice bezel fade indeed and nice brushing. All looks sharp on the case. But the fade doesn’t match the condition elsewhere. However there is some bracelet stretch to be expected. But the dial... it could be a Frankenstein built for profit |

It looks great but compared to my unpolished 16710, I would say it's been polished very lightly.

If it was polished at all, I sure as hell can't see it. The crown on the clasp looks fantastic! Usually they won't look like that if the watch has been polished. Really minty example! Go for it dude! What are they asking for this?

16700s ran until 2000 concurrent with the 16710 GMT IIs. Swiss only ran from '98 to 2000. That would make the watch a late model 16700.

I recall that five digit references were generally given a circular graining. The later six digit models introduced straight graining - presumably to better match up with the bracelet. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

X2. I have spent a lot of years learning how to properly touch up and polish a watch. My eye says it was lightly touched up but done correctly and with skill. That is not a bad thing and considered a “positive” to me.

That's the great thing with this forum; I've taken a (poor) photo of my 116000 against my 16610. Both are unpolished and you can just about see the difference. I'm sure that others here can illustrate the point better! |

No, it is not "unpolished".
It has been expertly refinished.
