Icon5 Help deciding...new Bluesey, Hulk, others

Hi guys, I'm not a frequent poster :-) But the watch bug has bitten me again! I stopped by my AD the other day and saw the new Bluesey, WOW!! That dial is amazing. Then stopped by a few days later, and they had a HULK. Also loved it.

I'm thinking of trading in one of my Panerais towards one. While I _love_ the blue, I'm wondering if the two-tone will be too blingy and make me feel self-conscious? I'm pretty casual, wear jeans to work etc. I don't think the Hulk would stand out.

The Hulk would be like $4-5k less I think.

Also, when getting up into the blue sub price point, it got me thinking that going just a little bit further would be put me into AP Diver category (probably the white one). ...or even the YM-II, which I love the looks of, but not sure on the complication.

Current Rolexes: GMT-II C, Deepsea, and white dial Daytona.
Others: BP Fifty Fathoms (black), Panerai 000, Panerai Diver.

I also tried on some Subs, which I think I may prefer to my GMT.

Would love to hear thoughts/opinions.

Sorry, for some reason it posted the Bluesey and Hulk sideways, hope this works.

My wife thinks the green may make my skin "too pink". :-/

Bluesy and GMT look amazing on your wrist (in those shots at least). The diver from AP is such a different watch so it's hard to suggest which may suit you better. Personally, I'd have the bluesy, but I understand what you mean about the self conscious aspect.

The TT looks incredible! I generally migrate to the reference because the dial has so much depth.

I am certain it would be a great fit into your collection.

It would be between the Lvc and the Bluesy for me...if you're self conscious with the bluesy and the extra $$ is a factor...then there's your answer.

Thanks! That bluesey definitely is a a looker!

I've tried the AP's on before and was really close to pulling the trigger on the white one, but then a Rolex dealer had a Daytona in stock and I grabbed it instead. Definitely a beautiful watch--I worry about about the super polished bezel edge and how steep that bezel edge is as far as scratches. Dial was gorgeous.

Not even close IMO. Bluesy all the way.

LVc is a favorite of mine. Both versions of the two tone submariners look amazing to me. My suggestion is to go with the one that makes you smile the biggest, probably the bluesy!!

Yep, it's between those two at the moment... the only thing stepping into the Bluesey (Bluesy?) is (a) the bling factor. I don't think it would be a daily wearer, more of a weekend thing, and (b) at that price, it's not much further to get into an AP Diver, Yachtmaster II, of (gasp) Hublot...

I loved both, want both. LOL :-/

I think the bluesy was a bit better, but just not subtle at all

Bluesy looks great on you. But if you can't go TT, then nothing wrong with going for Hulk.

i have a Bluesy, great piece...

The Divers look fantastic on you. That would be my choice if you are worried about bling. I found the SS Daytona bezel caught more hairlines than my APs.

Bluesy dial with gold font is stunning so I'd go for it, and as you have other SS pieces you can wear it when you feel it appropriate. I'd trade the BP and/or another PAM for the Diver.

Bluesy.

Remember, 99.9% of people DO NOT pay attention to others' watches.

In other words, they are not WIS like us

Well the Hulk is a Sub so you'd add it and not displace your (outstanding) GMT. I'm not a fan of TT regardless of how nice the dial is. You could dump all your "others" and add cash somewhere between the Hulk and Blusey and get a Smurf.
