Definitely prefer my LVc over my OG BLNR

Update: I officially turned down the 126710BLNR at my AD and the hype that follows it and went with the watch I truly like the most, the 116610LV. I came to appreciate the idea of having a late-year, new, original Hulk, so an eventual LV update no longer bothers me. The BLNR was nicer than I expected in-person but the LV still stole the show in my opinion.

Congratulations! Neither watch is a bad choice. Glad you picked the one you really want.

I have both, the BLNR with oyster. I love the look, the dial of the LV but the BLNR is a little more comfortable. I would pick the LV if I had to.

Major swerve: Finances shifted (funny how that happens when there's a desire to buy something) and I grabbed a NIB 2019 116710BLNR as well (note: not the 126710BLNR!), arriving within the next few hours.

I figured it'd be tough to find a better, more versatile duo than a GMT and a Submariner, and the BLNR and LV are my favorite examples of each. I thought I'd be hard-pressed to find a new, open-card 116710BLNR ever again, so the stars seemed to align.

Incoming thread will be posted shortly assuming all arrives safely.

Congratulations. It is indeed a nice combo. More dressy and subdued BLNR on gorgeous Jubilee and Tough and rugged, but colorful LV.

The facts:
  1. This will be my only watch for a while.
  2. I love both models for different reasons.
  3. The 116610LV feels less dressy and more durable.
  4. I worry the 116610 will be updated within ~2 years.
  5. I worry the 116610LV will not be discontinued, but also updated, at that time.
  6. I am young(ish) and inevitably I like non-discontinued models.
  7. I don't buy to collect or for future value, I want relevant models.

I know these posts are frustrating to some, but my biggest concern is picking up a 116610LV only to have a new-movement (and aesthetically-different) version released in the next ~2-3 years.
I can't help thinking that they'll discontinue the LV completely and come up with a new colour combination.

Congrats! How can it get any better. Your really going to enjoy those two to rotate with. I have the same Blnr and it does demand wrist time. Looking forward to your pics. Enjoy !!...

For an "only watch for a while" watch, I'd pick the BLNR. I've had both and truly loved both. To combat the dressy appearance of the BLNR, I purchased a 97200 Sub bracelet, which is really tough to find and expensive fyi, and it just about made the watch perfect. Much more subtle, but I genuinely loved my LV also. Even time wearing both but for a one and only watch I'd do the BLNR.

Congrats! You can’t go wrong with either one, but at least you got what you like more! You will enjoy the green sunburst dial a lot!

If it's the ONLY watch, BLNR. Colors are more versatile. The hulk will def stand out. Wonderful choice either way, Good luck!
