I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a beautiful vehicle. Have fun with it but watch out for the boys in blue.

Haha, I was pulled over on Saturday by the boys in blue because he said he heard me but didn’t have a speed trap set up. He turned out to be a nice guy as I treated with the upmost respect as you should. I admitted to him I did throttle it pretty good and he laughed.

Not sure how i missed this awesome incoming thread, the rear shots look amazing. Hope your neighborhood has enough road for you to stretch all 12 cylinders! Certainly would love to hear your driving impression on this vs the mid rear 458. Happy motoring!

I have had it out a few times so far. First impression is that the V12 is glorious. The sound is like trumpets, I cannot put it into words really, but I have never heard something like this. The interior is far superior, it is very comfortable and special feeling. Driving dynamics, this car is incredibly fast, incredible torque and surprisingly nimble, I think it has to do with the rear wheel steering. For being a front engine, rear wheel drive 800hp car, the electronics wizidry of the traction control really allow you to put that power to the ground.
The 458 is totally different. I loved that car and had it for four years, four years of much admiration. It is smaller, very nimble and go kart like. The 812 is a car that scares you a little bit, nothing like the 458. But it is something special as the last normally aspirated v12 from Ferrari.
I will have more details of the driving dynamics once I get it on a track, hopefully in May.

My only experience with RWS on sports cars is limited to recent year GTS/GT3, but def love the markedly improved agility and maneuverability on track provided by this feature. Can only imagine what that's like on a 812 on the course! Surely this ownership is going to be a blast but remember to share more pics with us (clips on track would be even better!)

Beautiful and powerful ride!

Be sure to change those T-12 fluorescent lamps (black ends) and/or upgrade to energy efficient T-8 or T-5 with tube guards to protect the car if one should shatter or fall :)

You can count it for pics on track. Thanks for the feedback as this is my first RWS, a little surprising how quickly it turns in until I am used to it.

Just seeing this thread for the first time...
Congrats!

Random question, if that transport is covered/boxed in how does one get in and out of the vehicle once it’s loaded and then again when it’s time to unload?!?

Ha, not to far away, but who knows, when things slowly get back to normal, I will do a road trip or two!

Never had a V12, very different driving dynamic as opposed to my previous rear engine V8 Ferrari. But impressive

Thanks so much. Most of these big transports have a side door/opening which allows them to climb in through the window. They have all sorts of blankets and covers that really protect the body of the car. It’s pretty easy for these trained drivers.

Hi Eric, when I made the move from an AMG to the Ferrari 458, it was a momentous jump upwards that I really didn’t anticipate and it was truly a step/leap into Ferrari. To try and compare going from the V8 Ferrari to this huge Ferrari V12 is almost the same reaction and feeling for me. There is nothing like this V12. It’s incredible the amount of personality and Dr. Jekyll this car exudes. It can be a comfortable and luxurious Ferrari flagship, then flip the switch and it becomes this savage beast with the most melodic sound coming from that power plant. What amazes me the most is how this car can plant down its 800hp as a rear wheel drive. The Ferrari wizardry with its drivetrain is like no other I have ever experienced. It really is a usable power. This car is leaps and bounds more thrilling than what I expected. This is the only car from Ferrari that successfully replaced my beloved 458 Italia. Nothing I drove including the F8 did anything for me. The fact that this car and power plant is officially done led me to make the move. If you are thinking about it, I would do it soon rather than later as this car may go up in value.
