Patek 5320G versus 5905R
Any thoughts?
Should one get one of these and call it a day? Or continue to miss the missing one? Y'all have a good week-end. |

PC vs AC chrono, tough decision. The answer would be to get a PC chrono and call it a day

The 5230G - no contest. The deceptive simplistity it’s of its perpetual calendar design and clear data is perfection whereas the 5905R is cluttered IMO.

I'd go 5320G as it represents Patek's best calendar design IMO, thinking 3448 and 3450. Not ready to pull the trigger myself as I am no fan of the current dial color which looks quite yellowish depending on the light. If they made it with a black dial I might not be able to resist.
Not interested in any of the Patek ACs and ACCs. Too busy, too many different windows sizes and fonts, 24h rings where I'd want a date ring etc. I much prefer a simple three-hander with date or a simple chrono instead. |

Patek 5320G versus 5905R
5320 ... under appreciated reference.
Edit: I see your profile shows the 5320...

Get a 5320G and a nice manual chrono like a ALS 1815/Datograph or 5172G. The movement of any high end chrono is to be appreciated and obstructing it with a rotor is blasphemy.
At least that is my plan, getting a 5320G this year and an ALS Datograph or 5172G next year. I was considering an ALS Perpetual Datograph but a manual perpetual which is not a daily watch is inconvenient so I dropped that idea. But if it is a daily, a 5270 would be a great choice. |

5320 is a more superior watch than the 5905
That is why the 5320 is in the grand complication section of Patek website and the 5905 is in the complicated section. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
