Anyone want an LV?

I did some watch shop carousing and then went to the Ottawa auto show on Friday night and the AD two blocks from me has an LV at list (CDN$6900). I really quite like it and I'm not a big fan of the sub. But the green against the black dial and the maxi-markers are outstanding!

I also saw a Tudor DJ with the most unusual (and beautiful) blue dial. No camera and pix won't do it justice but wow, it was stunning. Too bad it's only 36mm.

BTW Gerrardo, I got your Tudor catalogue and will drop it in the mail in a day or so. Please PM me your address.

Damn, I thought you were giving a present away, JK!!

BTW John, did you see on Paneristi the guy that is giving away a 112H at the Montreal F1 GTG this summer? Go read his thread, anyone that doesn't have one and shows up will be entered in the drawing. How frickin cool is that?

if my math is correct, that's around $5900 in USD. That's a quite a bit higher than the USD list price.

They pay like 15% plus off the top just to import the watches in, the prices reflect that, not trying to gouge.

I really like the LV now. Didnt like it at first.I go through stages with watches.I hate it one week then love it the next.Thats why i have to wait a while before any purchase.Normally if i like it after a month or 2 i will continue to do so.
I dont think however i would pay a premium over a normal sub date.

I like the LV but couldn't live without a black bezel Rolex so I bought an SD also. Best of both worlds.

I know that one - I've "lost" Rolexs to both my sons (although the payback was them finding fully paid sponsorship through college, so I gained in the long run, a lot! ) They had to wait much longer than 8 years of course - and get a good degree

I like your avatar Mark; I must create an LV one for myself, to reflect the fact that the kermit is my constant wear.
