What to do

My company gave me a Sub....I love my ttdj/blackdail. I just found out the jubilee band has changed. I love the look. I'm not a big Sub fan. Should i sell the Sub and buy the new ttdj?

Hi Wayno,

Quite a dilemma you have there, my friend!! You'd have to be one of the very few guys who doesn't like a Sub.

But at the same time, I can understand your lusting after a TT DJ (black dial). The new Jubilee bracelet is absolutely superb and vastly improved over the older one. Even the clasp is now concealed and gives the bracelet the "President bracelet" look.

Want an honest answer? If you can afford the TT DJ, go for it...but, at the same time, try and hang on to the Sub. Is this the Sub-date 16610 or the non-date version?

Good luck in your final decision.

JJ

I have a ttdj I love it. The draw is the new president band. Should I sell the sub? I'll then have 2 ttdj....................or sell my ttdj and keep the sub?

Well, if it's only for the new bracelet.....hmmmm....touch choice and a very hard decision to make.

I would keep the Sub. Is it the one with date or dateless? Your present TT DJ...what year is it?

Bought my ttdj 4 years ago.....if it wasn't for the gift(sub)..I probly wouldn't have known for some time about the new bracelet. I love the look....but 7k for the upgrade.....I'm torn.....the sale of the sub would ease the pain....but ...still

Simple solution, Wayno: Forget the new band...just hang onto your present TT DJ and GRAB the Sub-date with both hands.

7 G for a bracelet is serious coin.
I'm not really the one to ask, as I would say keep both
But , hold onto the Sub for awhile, see if you fall in love with it.
If not, then sell & trade up.
I assume that the company doesn't care what you do with the gift Any politics come into play if you don't wear the sub to work?
ps can you please email the partners in my firm and let them know it is perfectly okay to give key employees Rolex's, thank

LOL...
Everyone says to hold onto it and it will grow on me. It just dosen't have the Rolex feel. I will try it. If your in the firm you won't need any help ...just keep working 23 hours a day and it will be on your desk in the AM

23 hours a day < Yippee, Can I work for you, at least that way I get an hour a day off.
Another way of looking at it is, It is a VERY good head start towards your dream watch.
I'm just not into flipping, but then, I've never been given one.
Even ask the local AD what they would give you, Might save some tax on the difference.
I don't think you'd have any trouble getting rid of it though.

Good decision, my friend. Once you start wearing the Sub-date, you won't ever look back. Believe me when I say, it's the finest Rolex out there!! You won't be disappointed....that's a JJ guarantee!!

Doesn't have that Rolex feel? You'll change your tune once you put it on. I think many of the people here would say that the Sub is the epitome of Rolex. The workhorse, etc. You'll love it.

Tough call Wayne, but I would keep the sub and keep your original or at least update it. It will be nice to have different options.

JJ, I have owned the sub and was way less than happy with it. Not every watch is for every person.

Thats a tough call. I'd try to keep the Sub and upgrade to the new DJ. You're right, the bracelet does make it enticing

The big difference here Wayno is you'll be getting a real SUb. Not a FAKE like JJ shows in his pics.

Wise move giving the Sub a try, Wayno. From my experience, my DJ feels oddly undersized on my wrist on the rare occasion it takes my SD's place on my wrist.
