Anyone tried an oyster on new pepsi????
Did a search, couldn't find anything. With the new incomings of the PepsiC (C for congrats!), has anyone tried to fit an oyster on it yet???????

Won't fit. If you want BLRO on oyster, you would need to swap the bezel with an LN or BLNR.

No other bracelet will fit on the new SS Pepsic than the specific Jubilee that it comes with.

I want to bump this thread. Have any of new BLRO owners taken the bracelet off to see if an Oyster will not fit as CLAIMED pre-basel?
Yes, we've been told it won't fit, but someone out there has to have tried by now to confirm. |

It would be sad not to enjoy that jubilee. I wouldn't mess with it - just buy the WG version, which will be a collectors item anyway (extremely short run).

I have a feeling the lughole placement is different, but it would be nice for someone to confirm.

It would be interesting to know. A case (hardyhar) of a few extra holes drilling or will the thing just not slot? Rolex wouldn't make it as easy as drilling the inside lug would they? Perhaps it'll be so close that the holes would overlap? The WG owners have been beaten eough but it's going to happen if that's all the adaptation required. Everyone will do it.

I'm personally hoping for the reverse with the new Jubilee fitting the 116710LN. If it does then it gives me a reason to keep both the LN and BLRO around.
If someone were to kindly loan me their SS BLRO for 24 hours, I'll gladly test an Oyster on it for you. Heck, I might even swap bracelets with you if they'll swap 1:1. |

??? my blnr is on super jubilee - you can put your gmtC watch on a jubilee bracelet if you get the right pins for it. |

I've been considering a 63600 Super Jubilee but am hoping a BLRO shows up before then. If I can buy a BLRO at MSRP then the first thing I'm doing is popping off the bracelet and comparing it to the 78200 GMT Oyster. That will happen before I size the bracelet. |

No one is going to drill their case for a different bracelet - especially on a watch that could take most people years to acquire. Hell, you could find an extra insert easier....

What makes you think an insert would fit? The WG bezel was quite different. 'Extra' ceramic inserts can't just be popped in and out anyway.

I don’t think anyone wants to risk damaging their lugs on a brand new Pepsi just to find out it doesn’t work. I am sure someone will attempt it sooner or later, but I think right now it’s just too soon. I am curious also if the outcome.

This is what I suspect. Either it won't fit because of half a mm or whatever, or it will fit but it will not sit flush. |

I'm guessing it's the latter. The new lug radius looks slightly tighter. I suspect we'll see future GMTs on the new Jubilee at some point. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if all GMTs become available on both Oyster and Jubilee.

Not saying an oyster will fit, but where did this info come from? Even if it doesn't fit I'm sure Rolex will offer and oyster option in a year or two. |

Don't be so sure, it's a matter of time before someone does it, just like some people modded their 116610 with lug holes by LAWW etc.

I think you’re daydreaming if you believe swapping the BLRO jubilee for an existing oyster bracelet will be an easy switch. Anyone who saw the watch at the trunk shows and compared it to an existing GMT will have seen that the differences may be subtle but they’re there for a purpose.
The local Rolex rep held up the BLRO next to my BLNR and the shape and size of the lugs is different and the case height on the new one is slighly smaller, maybe 1mm or so. Without a lot of trouble your only hope is to wait and see if they come out with an Oyster for the new case. Personally, if I didn’t like the jubilee I wouldn’t have much interest in the BLRO. The bracelet is an integral part of its style and mission. |

With Rolex making everything was such precision, even off by 1/2 a mm will make bracelets not fit

Great picture ippon20
Looks like the holes would either overlap or be extremely close to each other if anyone was brave/foolhardy enough to try to drill the lugs. End link looks to be completely different dimensions too. Sneaky Rolex |

Anyone else not disappointed / passive aggressively angry by this?
From a traditionalist’s point of view, swapping the oyster for a jubilee or vice versa is a fun part of owning a sports Rolex. Sigh, Rolex is a company I both love and hate simultaneously Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hence why the 16710 is going crazy. I will keep mine and have my cake and eat it too in regards to having a jubilee and oyster to pick from. |
