Took Subby for his first movie...

Hi guys,

This afternoon (Easter Monday), Zemina and I had nothing better to do so we thought we'd check out the local Village Eight movie houses and decided to take in When a Stranger calls.

While the film was quite good with a bit of suspense and thrills along the way, it was Subby's first outing to the movies. I got Subby on 8th of Feb., so it was like over two months since my last flick.

Just thought I'd share this silly, unimportant, trivia with you tossers!!

PS: The Luminova glow in the movie house was disappointing - Yammie is far better, proving that the maxi dial does have a better glow!!

Why do I have a feeling he gave "Subby" more than a kiss. Oh what a disgusting thought.

Subby got popcorn, a double scoop chocolate cone and an ice-cold Coke. It was the happiest day since the 2 odd months he's been with me.

Half way though the film, he pleaded with me to never flip him. I said okay...he has nothing to worry on that score.

Meanwhile, back home, Yammie was stomping up and down with rage and jealousy. So now I've got him on my wrist and given Subby a bit of a rest.

I'm at home for the next few days and go back to work only on the 26th. You see, 25th happens to be ANZAC (Australia New Zealand Army Corp) day and is a public holiday in this part of the world, so I've even taken that Monday off and given myself a nice long holiday. Besides, the grandkids are off since schools are closed and I can have some time with them.

Frans,

The funny thing is I am more BONKERS (as you put it) on this forum. In real life, if you ever meet me, I can be pretty serious and you'd find me a completely different person...although I can get BONKERS too in the flesh if the occasion so demands it!!

You’re mentioning the very thing that brings a lot of misery, JJ. The fact that a lot of people are just that: very different from real life when visiting forums. It’s a kind of ‘road rage’ as I call it. I’ve witnessed some very ugly things in my forum life, very ugly. In this respect, TRF is different. No hidden agendas here. Just an irrational love for fine mechanical watches. We are lucky guys, very lucky indeed.

I was just kiddin' my friend. I am more or less the same jolly guy in real life as I am here. My grandkids love me for it and have the time of their life when I let them do with me what they will.

Al and Jacqui spent just one evening with Zemina and me. They will confirm how completely opposite we are...Zemina is a quiet listener while I love to yak!!

This forum (and you tossers) just brings out the worst in me!!

What is going on here, people?

Do you see what you've done? You have taken this thread that our resident BKL started about taking his watch to a movie and you have turned it into a lovefest for him.

STOP THIS MADNESS NOW, I SAY!!!!!

Who loves you, baby?
