GMT Inserts
It appears one topic common to the postings is GMT inserts.
Seems to me one would be better off changing the Bezel with various inserts attached rather than changing inserts. Maybe the terms are used interchangeably OR.. Maybe the GMT owners are actually changing inserts? GMT owner comments? |

I think most of the people are changing inserts. Cheaper than having 3 bezels. USA customers can't just order different bezels from Rolex USA however. They only exchange.

My local AD sold me a singel black bezel insert and changed it for me. Subsequently, i have learned how to go back and forth between the black and black/red. Its very easy, literally takes two minutes.

Are the inserts glued in? Removed how?, heat gun and dental probe? |

Some of us don't believe in defying Nature and changing out the black insert for any of those other ugly combos. We are very satisfied with the all black bezel and insert. So we don't worry about swapping out inserts.

Aha! Simple. Get rid of the blackness of your colourless bezel and change it to Pepsi. Then you get the colours you love! Sorry Ed, I do like the black (a lot) until I see the pepsi again ... Why do they give us so much choice? Last edited by Islander; 18 April 2006 at 04:32 AM.. |

I change my own inserts. I would add that I do not think changing them often is a good idea. The SS bezels are not cheap, even w/o inserts. Here is how I changed mine, compliments of Jocke. =) maverick
