Patek releasing a new movement after 1 configuration? That would be unexpected but refreshing.

That's really too bad. :(
I was hoping to apply for one of these this year. |

The retirement of an absolute legend, the values of these have been criminally low given how spectacular they are. I can't wait to see what split-second chrono they come up with next.

I think the chances of a new movement are zero, as is SS. New reference, certainly possible, we can but wait and see.
It was unusual that they started with a P but not unprecedented with high grand complications. |

I feel like they went straight to the paint with the 5370. They knew the market was a bit soft for this segment and also knew what a double split should mean from Patek. I commend them not screwing around and making it right from day 1.
In fact that’s sort of been a theme the last 3-4 years. Brands have tossed aside the old rollout strategies in favor of bringing the heat early.

Still wish I applied before they killed it abruptly. I was not expecting this. |

I love mine so much I’d buy a second one. I wear it almost every day.
Let’s hope they release an even more awesome DS Platinum chrono now |
