We will have to wait to see if a 5370 is released in other metals.

I was just saying either

1) you are Rich since it’s an expensive watch

OR

2) now that it’s discontinued and worth more , you will be Rich

So in scenario A and B Russell you are Rich :)

Or a totally new SS chronograph. New movement, new case, etc.

Patek releasing a new movement after 1 configuration? That would be unexpected but refreshing.

Just a guess, as typically the P is the end of model release?

That's really too bad. :(

I was hoping to apply for one of these this year.

The retirement of an absolute legend, the values of these have been criminally low given how spectacular they are. I can't wait to see what split-second chrono they come up with next.

And like the 5172, 20% cheaper! God, I hope not!

I think the chances of a new movement are zero, as is SS. New reference, certainly possible, we can but wait and see.

It was unusual that they started with a P but not unprecedented with high grand complications.

I feel like they went straight to the paint with the 5370. They knew the market was a bit soft for this segment and also knew what a double split should mean from Patek. I commend them not screwing around and making it right from day 1.

In fact that’s sort of been a theme the last 3-4 years. Brands have tossed aside the old rollout strategies in favor of bringing the heat early.

Yeah, I dig this strategy.

Still wish I applied before they killed it abruptly. I was not expecting this.

I love mine so much I’d buy a second one. I wear it almost every day.

Let’s hope they release an even more awesome DS Platinum chrono now

You are joking right? They are nothing like the same piece, 5170 is a great watch but do your homework.

5370P is more watch, clearly. but the 5170P is smaller has (for me) the nicer dial and is all in all more wearable.
but again, 5370P is tops.
