Finally Got My Grail - Lange Zeitwerk!

I've always wanted one of these but the fractional preloading issue drove me nuts! When I read about the problem being solved on the last "update" a year or two ago, I immediately reached out to a few dealers. Ended up buying from Josh @ Burdeens. Great guy, shipped quickly and problem-free. I would deal with them again any time. This was my first new watch purchase as I usually go used but the math here worked out.

I don't think anyone touches ALS for horological bang for buck. I love that the brand hasn't been ruined by rappers and spoiled kids that have never worked a day in their life (yet).

Congrats this is an absolutely gorgeous watch. A big too large for me to pull off (I ended up with the 1815 Chrono) but damn its sweet.

Congrats! It's such a beautiful watch, I hope one day I will be able to get there. Did you get somewhat of a discount at least?

When seconds hand is at 55, the 9 “preloads” by moving down slightly. Then at 60 the jump happens. You can see it in Russels video. In the newer movements there is no preload, the minutes jump without the initial slight movement.
