Sure thing, Tim, and good idea. I used to keep things on a watch tracker app - will fire that up and give it a go and post results

Congrats to all who received theirs. Looks great. Would it be possible to get a side by side picture with a submariner?

So far the u50 is running about 5.1sec/day fast - that’s only over 3 days so will continue wearing/testing daily to gather a longer sample

Good to know, maybe some positional regulation. I’d always rather a fast running movement vs a slow one.

Just got the U50 SDR today, and I definitely have to say that Sinn hit a home run with this one. The wearable nature of this watch can’t be understated. The watch is near 11mm thick and sits great on my 7inch wrist. The bracelet is great and clasp is what I’d say is Seiko-ish with it being Great quality, but not high end. This is going to be my work watch. One that should be able to take a little punishment. Guys if you were on the fence with this one...no need to be. Buy away.

Thought I’d try to revive the thread...just received my U50 tegimented on rubber strap but it feels made for an Erikas MN I already had. Great size for my 6.8-ish wrist. Rotor noise is loud as per usual Sinn but no big deal.

Tegimented, submarine steel, 500M depth...I’m looking forward to banging this baby around a little...

You guys who have purchased the U50 how’s the accuracy been with them? Is the tegimented steel holding up well?

Tim,

I can offer some info on the tegimented steel as I've owned my 757 UTC for about 2 years. I've not found any marks on the head or bracelet. It spends half the time on the OEM bracelet and half on a BC rubber nato. While tegimented steel is not going to eliminate every possible risk of damage it does seem to do a great job at defending against day to day wear.

Dan,
Thank you, that’s pretty much what I expected. How’s the accuracy?
That’s a damn good looking watch.

Thanks, Tim!

I have no idea on accuracy because this is the first watch I've owned without a running second hand. Always wondered if that would be an issue for me but instead it's freed me from my OCD tendencies.

Having said that, from what I can tell it's pretty dang accurate.

Excellent, thanks for the information. From what I see there’s no such thing as a Sinn showroom, it’s order from watchbuys only?

That's my understanding. Watchbuys also has about 4 roadshows a year throughout the US where you can take models for a wrist test.

I bought my 757 UTC from the original owner who only had it for a few months. After about a year of my ownership I found the chrono second hand wasn't reseting to zero. Sent it to RGM [Sinn's authorized US service center at Watchbuys] and they fixed the second hand, replaced the copper sulphate capsule, AND did a complete service for free [when it was out of warranty]. And within the timeframe suggested during the quote. Very happy with those results.

We’ve been to the New York City Watchbuys show. Very good! As I recall, it was a very cold day, maybe December, 2019. Highly recommended for December, 2021 if we are back to normal. They also show other German watches in their portfolio.

Great info Dan, RGM is about 2 hours drive south of us. I’ve also been eyeing the 856.

Tegiment is the real deal...have no fear in changing straps. Though you can’t tell in this picture, case looks like the day I got it and I use the central Chrono for many of my outdoor activities

Sinn is the real deal. I had a U1 fully tegimeted for several years before selling it upon the U50 release. It was nearly a daily wearer, was running at approximately +1 second a day and looked as good as the day it arrive. The Tegimeted process isnt just marketing jargon, it really works.
My U50 was running about +5 seconds on the day of arrival, but I haven't checked the accuracy since the 'break in' period. Sinn is an amazing bang for your buck. I also have an 104 and EZM 3f, and I'm truly impressed with the quality of their product.

Apologies to pbnb, I meat to quote his response regarding 'the real deal' and expand on it. I dont want to come across as a plagiarist.
