Good for another "TEN YEARS" again..!

Well after almost 3 months of waiting our new passports finally arrived the other day. What we are waiting for is "The Emerald Island" to reopen its airport for international travel so that we can head off to the sun and fun loved so much..

Anyone waiting on new passports so you can head out for some cold winter get aways in the hot tropics of the world..?

We just renewed all of our passports last fall for our family trip to Italy. Good for 10 years as well (9 now).

Can’t wait to travel when things are safe.

Mine expires in January and I'd like to get the renewal going, but we have a trip to Aruba in Nov.

Issue is we might be going to Costa Rica in January, so the long wait times right now puts me in a hard place.

I'll probably end up renewing after the Nov trip and hope it comes by January...eek.

I do believe that those carrying Tumi luggage are frowned upon in Aruba.

Sorry, next time.

Under normal circumstances is it difficult to obtain an extension to the traditional 90 day visa stamp? Or do you have a residency visa?

Given the current global covid nastiness, are you happy to share the aircraft's recycled air for 15 t0 20 hours, with a couple of hundred strangers?
Good luck buddy!

Or, maybe your latest purchase is a Bombardier Global 8000?
Hope you have a great holiday, however you get there.

I was told they were not serving hot food even in business class a little while back. Could have changed by now.

Indoor dining at 30,000ft with no social distancing? No thanks.

I am personally not planning to get on a plane in 2021.

Same, a year or two ago I opted for the 10 year passport to be doing less of those annoying renewals. I won't be going anywhere until it's deemed safe again and no 14 day quarantine would be required.

When the aforementioned happens I'm finding a nice beach somewhere and spending all day, every day there to make up for lost time and this chaos.

In September, we would normally be on a beach in Greece for a month.
Missing it immensely, not going to risk mixing with people I don't know, for the next couple of years, maybe longer, if things continue to be flaky.

Was supposed to be leaving for Maui on the 15th for our semi annual dose of Vitamin D.

Marriott phoned and said they're sick of me and to stay home.

Disappointed. Thought it was kind of insensitive.

I'm thinking you may want to look at buying a set of snow tires for your bikes.

And some snow filters for your Hubble camera lenses.

Old Cancelled Passport

My old passport finally was returned to me with the usual holes punches though it. I was getting a bit nervous as to why it did not ship with new one as it has my residence visa for The Emerald Isle in it....

I had to do a rush when i got mine last year. I had 2 weeks before i had an impromptu business trip to London. Went the the SF office and had a new passport, not a renewal, within 3 days. Hopefully they have implemented some sort of system to take care of renewals now. I can’t imagine you having an issue.

There is up to just recently no such thing as "DOING A RUSH" on a USA PASSPORT" because thats what I always did was pay the extra bucks but not allowed now from State Department Passport Office...

I think all of us are thinking,.........remember 2020 .....that was some year.

Hope we never have another like that again.

Remember we couldn't go out, we couldn't go to work or to school, we couldn't travel, we couldn't go to movies or bars or restaurants......or visit our friends....

I tried to tell my kids about 2020 and they wouldn't believe me......they thought I was kidding......
