FP Journe Dubai - Green Dial

Hi all,

The watch below has not been officially released, but has been leaked. I think it is a stunning watch and has one of the nicest green dials in the market.

Curious to hear your thoughts.

That is a very unique green dial. I like it, but I don't love it. I would probably have it if I had it as part of a larger collection, and maybe had another FPJ. But for an only, or if I had the chance to own one FPJ - I would go for something more classic in looks.

Not my thing. Should call it “The Real Hulk”, or maybe “The Toad”.

Actually I totally agree. Poor choice of strap. It looks cheap.

Yep

I think it would look great on any type of brown strap. The green dial is really nice.

Absolutely epic on a brown strap. This will be impossible to get.

I think it is being produced to commemorate their opening of the Dubai boutique with a limited amount of 99 watches; similar to the Byblos when they opened their Lebanon boutique.

Interesting no PR. So will this be officially called Chronometre Vert? Or is it a 40mm CS just without the PR? Doesn't matter as I couldn't get one if I wanted to, and I'm not a big fan of the green they chose.

Looks gorgeous - not as nice as the CB to me, but a stunner. I like the applied numbers, which add depth to what looks like a flat dial color. Also assuming 40mm as it looks like the plat CS case.

Oh.. interesting. 99? Good grief. I wonder what playas will get allocations. Guessing Platinum case? Steel would be a home run.

Except it's not sold exclusively out of the Dubai Boutique, so it's a bit weird and confusing to me.

Pre-Sold out, of course.

My understanding is that it is being produced over a few year period to get the 99, sold out of all 12 Boutiques but to honor the opening of the Dubai Boutique, and was kind of a "don't ask us, we will ask you" kind of allocation piece. And yes, sold out.

I think it is a beautiful watch.

I love the look without the PR. This particular color would not be my first choice, but it’s not as if it was offered to me anyway. I would love to see this watch offered in “Stella” colors. They would sell like hot cakes! A turquoise dial with blackened applied numerals would be stunning. Or if FPJ still has that can of Ferrari red paint, a red dial with yellow hands and yellow applied numerals. Sign me up!

I think on a different color strap it would look even better. Something like a gray strap may tone that dial down just a touch. Love the style though without the PR. Hope they don’t move everything to 40mm or bigger though (CB being 39mm).

I agree. Grey or brown and I think this watch will be magnificent.
