My First Panerai!!

I have been loving Panerais since shortly after my Rolex Sub purchase 7 years ago from this forum (justrolexes, Tony). I was finally able to pull the trigger. I ended up with a PAM 1359.

I was lucky enough to be able to try on both the 359 and 1359 before purchasing. I actually preferred the slightly thinner case and the ecru coloring on the dial on the 1359. The blue second hand is a nice touch too. This thing will not leave my wrist for a long time.

A huge thank you to Addy616 for making the buying experience easy.

So true, all I have been doing is looking at straps. What are your thoughts about 3rd party straps on a Panerai? I'll probably get one more OEM (brown leather) and then who knows. It seems it is widely accepted here to have non Panerai straps??

Congrats! I tried on the 1312 at local AD and love the slimmer case, and I love the numerial dial of "359"

There are many great OEM straps, yes, but the real fun is with the strap makers: choosing the type of material, the color, the thread color and style, the length and width and thickness, the buckle... So many choices, and so many opportunities to wear YOUR style. Enjoy!

Some great options (many others):

* Micah (Vintagerstraps)
* Simona (DiStefano)
* Greg (GSD)
* John (Dangerous9)
* Ted Su

You can't help yourself, can you?

Good choice, OP. Welcome to PAM ownership and, as our Panerai Enabler-in-Chief (Cru to his mates) has said, start looking for some straps to switch things up.

I highly recommend John Glance:

He's not the cheapest and he takes about 12 to 16 weeks to complete an order but damn, it's worth the wait!
